Wow that's your Mexican thing very
0:42
authentic as opposed to what I don't
0:45
know my guitar
0:48
well happy Cinco DeMayo by sombrero yes
0:53
yes so a bunch of other events today if
0:55
you look on the list it's unbelievable
0:57
how many things are going on in the day
0:59
like this well you know you know if I
1:00
this is the fourth 1904 405 1904 the
1:05
first no I'm sorry the first perfect
1:07
game was pitched by sai yeung I put that
1:11
in the newsletter but since nobody got
1:13
the newsletter I thought I'd mentioned
1:15
it on the show now is this really true
1:16
is this is this what happened that the
1:18
people didn't receive I received it but
1:20
of course I don't use Gmail and it was a
1:22
good newsletter email phenomenon I think
1:25
it's MailChimp how do I say that because
1:27
of all the different weather there are a
1:28
lot of people that use Gmail in the
1:30
background but it was I by asked and I
1:33
got note after note after no no I looked
1:36
here I looked in spam I looked at trash
1:37
I didn't see it hmm
1:39
and I brought all our names down and
1:41
this like dozens and I read I'm sure
1:44
that most people you know some people
1:46
read even get the second note but it
1:48
takes a little effort to I'm sure that
1:51
the the names email addresses I received
1:54
back saying they never could find it
1:56
he's only a portion because most people
1:59
aren't even a bother
2:00
do I have a theory about it I might my
2:03
theory now we were celebrating different
2:05
zanko's today and my theory is that the
2:08
adorable picture broke the internet
2:12
if an actual actually sucks it could be
2:15
but somebody actually came up with a
2:17
very interesting that little out there
2:19
and a little creepy
2:21
explanation which I noted might be a
2:25
possibility all right
2:28
in the caption on his picture in
2:32
particular I mentioned bank passwords oh
2:37
that's right yet Noah's family passwords
2:40
and bank accounts or something like that
2:42
yes and you think that they're going
2:44
that deep into the content to filter out
2:46
and that would be dangerous
2:48
or well I guess it would be seen as spam
2:49
you have passwords Bank hmm or at least
2:53
suspicious well the thing that got me is
2:56
man this kid looks just like you
2:59
that's I couldn't get past that it looks
3:03
just like my son is usually Wow dude
3:06
he's a little baby she's a mini JC D if
3:09
I ever saw one people's mouths fall open
3:12
when they see that picture of him way to
3:14
exploit him by the way Grahams good job
3:16
yeah nobody gets the email yeah well
3:22
alright so it's a Cinco de Mayo there
3:26
for Mexico it is Theodore Bulls is it
3:31
second birthday third second second
3:33
birthday and I'm on the list by the way
3:36
I never put him on the list
3:38
that's interesting no one put him on the
3:40
list the whole Dvorak clan left out
3:42
Theodore abused the kid for the
3:45
newsletter but don't give him any any
3:47
props or anything in the show huh so who
3:50
should I say this is coming from is it
3:52
from grandpa John yeah what does he call
3:57
you he's not a talker okay he's not a
4:10
talker
4:12
well I'd say as long as he's the entire
4:16
time he's not a talker talker is
4:17
probably good once they start it's all
4:22
over yeah yeah yeah yeah it
4:25
also Liberation Day in the Netherlands
4:29
which is celebrated quite largely with
4:32
the day bu day today I think that's nice
4:36
into the night yes yeah they moved it to
4:38
the 9th I don't know if anyone actually
4:39
celebrates it what do they do on EU Day
4:45
[Music]
4:47
will be able to celebrate it on the next
4:50
show I believe the 9th is Thursday so
4:51
there works out perfectly we can still
4:53
participate in EU Day nice and today is
4:57
also mine the keepers 4th anniversary of
5:01
our first date
5:04
do you have an anniversary of your first
5:06
kiss too it is interesting how women do
5:12
keep track of dates mine does because
5:18
actually today was the 15th ownership
5:23
you said mine mine what I put a ring on
5:34
that that's what you get to own it and
5:37
although the question is who's really
5:39
owned here in the relationship we
5:43
celebrated last night we went out to
5:44
dinner for uh we went to one of our
5:50
favorite places when we lived downtown
5:51
which you can only go to once in a while
5:53
it's true luxe
5:56
yeah the we talked about yeah yeah well
6:00
it was nice so yes lots to celebrate
6:04
today congratulations everybody and I
6:07
wanted to jump in with Venezuela for a
6:12
very specific reason because I received
6:14
after the last show I received three
6:17
separate emails one was addressed to
6:20
both of us and John you replied to it
6:23
did you remember when Hillary Clinton
6:26
State Department was recruiting and
6:28
training techno experts oh yeah that
6:32
we've made a big deal about that on the
6:33
show yeah she'd techno experts in there
6:35
that's when there that's when the
6:37
Internet in a box
6:38
was available that was part of it and
6:41
they were training kids all over the
6:43
world and getting him specially special
6:46
techno expert universities that I was
6:49
eventually handed over to Soros well I
6:53
have a feeling that we've looked at this
6:57
at this attempted coup and pretty much
7:01
what we said on the last show okay we
7:04
see what's going on but this is this is
7:06
5050 ideas I said 80s you correctly took
7:10
it back to the 50s they're doing it in a
7:12
way that is wag the dog style you know
7:14
it's not working we're not falling for
7:16
television doesn't work the same and so
7:19
now they bring out
7:20
I think the techno experts and for some
7:23
bizarre reason they've latched on to us
7:25
which could mean that were of some
7:27
importance I don't know we're honorably
7:29
think we're just on a list in the State
7:32
Department but all of these emails were
7:34
the same except they were from different
7:36
people and I found this to be
7:37
interesting so Regency I only got oh
7:40
well let's say that I got the one which
7:43
I responded to mhm and and now that you
7:46
mentioned it wasn't didn't really make
7:48
any sense because it was not based on
7:51
anything we said well exactly know if I
7:56
got the other two maybe you said oh no
7:57
the other two were just to me so I don't
7:58
know if you got any individually but
8:00
they were only sent to me so the one the
8:02
one that you replied to was from why
8:06
don't you read it and read my reply oh
8:08
okay well you don't have your reply
8:11
handy no I'm not ready for this segment
8:14
so always be ready excuse me Adam and
8:21
John you must correct your stance on
8:24
Venezuela you have many donors belonging
8:26
to the Venezuela diaspora and Trump
8:28
slash Magus a Porter's you must support
8:30
president Donald Trump Mike Pompeo
8:32
Elliot Abraham's and John Bolton in
8:34
seeking freedom and democracy for the
8:36
Venezuelan people just like you
8:38
currently enjoy this is where I'm
8:40
already like you're putting all those
8:42
people into the same list it's like yeah
8:44
we're supposed to support those those
8:46
douchebags
8:48
nicolas maduro is an evil authoritarian
8:50
dictator who's turned our once wealthy
8:52
and flourishing country into a basket
8:54
case and here comes the common thread
8:57
please watch the video from dr. steve
8:59
botanic on youtube
9:00
it is highly educational and informative
9:02
and there's a link i'm sure if you
9:05
change your stance donations will
9:06
rapidly increase and will highlight the
9:08
revolutionary success of the village for
9:10
value model uh-huh last but not least as
9:13
an American you should genuinely support
9:16
the dismantling of Russian Chinese
9:17
Iranian Hezbollah narco-terrorism a lot
9:21
and to which you responded I didn't
9:28
actually put the response in my show
9:30
notes in my show prep but I have it here
9:32
somewhere I thought was thought I did at
9:39
least what would you say you know we're
9:45
not here I said yeah we don't like the
9:48
Maduro guy we never liked Chavez but
9:50
we're here to deconstruct news and make
9:53
news more understandable for the public
9:54
and we're not here to promote revolution
9:58
anyplace it's not what we do we're news
10:00
and analysts period exact at that
10:04
because that's what we do we don't we're
10:06
not here to pound the drum for some
10:09
operation
10:11
interestingly that we think we even said
10:14
yeah you know we see what's going on we
10:16
can't have ballistic missiles from the
10:19
Russians just like the cube root crisis
10:21
quote too close to us but Trump should
10:24
just be honest and say here's what we're
10:25
doing here's what we're doing about it
10:26
so here's the next text of techno and
10:28
expert the similarities are interesting
10:31
user dearest Adam Curry you can your
10:35
wrist
10:36
dearest you can almost hear the the form
10:38
letter you sir are misleading your
10:40
viewers so this persuade all this is a
10:43
new one yeah this is a second one yeah
10:45
yeah oh yeah so they don't don't even
10:47
know what the show is but listen because
10:49
it's the same as what you receive so
10:51
this person does not know that there's
10:53
nothing to view so they've never heard
10:55
the show you sir are misleading your
10:57
viewers and painting a cia-led
10:59
conspiracy theory on Van
11:01
Wailer this behavior is utterly shameful
11:04
and short-sighted the Venezuelan people
11:06
are struggling under a horrific brutal
11:08
regime where women are raped and
11:10
children are tortured as political
11:11
intimidation and retribution as you have
11:14
cited numerous times here it is dr.
11:16
Steve Pacino is an individual of
11:17
impeccable standing and credibility in
11:19
the field of foreign affairs
11:21
I hear better if I refer you to his
11:23
YouTube video on the matter titled opus
11:25
147 Venezuela coup slow-start
11:27
he will find facts that you should
11:29
repeat to your viewers on the show this
11:31
coming Sunday hello viewers pay
11:33
attention President Trump and his
11:35
national security team are working
11:37
diligently and effortlessly to bring
11:39
peace tranquility and prosperity to the
11:41
Venezuelan people
11:42
unfortunately the illegal Maduro regime
11:44
and its enablers Russia Iran Cuba and
11:46
Hezbollah stand in the way we Venezuelan
11:49
people wholeheartedly welcomed and
11:50
encouraged Trump to take the next step
11:52
military intervention whether in the
11:53
form of ground troops or precision
11:55
strikes against the Maduro regime the
11:57
suffering cannot continue please do not
11:59
be another enabler of the Maduro
12:01
communist regime we witness enough of
12:04
that with code pink and elan Omar your
12:06
criticism of John Bolton and Elliott
12:08
Abrams is untoward untoward Wow who says
12:14
that any more untoward the 50s they have
12:18
us yes there you go they have ushered in
12:20
prospering democracies in Latin America
12:23
that have replaced totalitarian
12:24
dictatorships okay what name would best
12:29
wishes Rodolfo so you see the
12:31
commonalities and then the third one
12:33
dear Mr curry with utmost interest I
12:35
listen to your show episode 1134 titled
12:39
opinion people in which you discuss the
12:41
crisis in Venezuela your views our
12:45
people we are suffering under the
12:48
vicious dictator Nicolas Maduro who has
12:50
used our country to provide safe haven
12:52
to Russians Cubans Iranians and Lebanese
12:55
terrorist group Hezbollah they will use
12:57
Venezuelan territory to instigate and
12:59
launch attacks against the United States
13:00
and its people this is a threat to you
13:02
and your family safety in highest level
13:04
of an illegitimate Venezuelan government
13:06
right-hand man - Maduro is Lebanese
13:08
Hezbollah operative Tariq allah sawas
13:11
I Sami the New York Times exposed his
13:14
illegal activities in a bombshell report
13:16
a few days ago linked he has used
13:20
Venezuelan national resources to prop up
13:22
Syrian mass murdering dictator who gas
13:24
his own people bashar al-assad
13:26
till now he sends to syria venez oil to
13:29
prop up Russian puppet Assad he's
13:31
formally ally of it goes on and on and
13:33
on I hope you reconsider and change your
13:36
tune for your show on Sunday you must
13:39
support liberation of Venezuela from
13:41
crutches of these entities Bolton Abrams
13:43
have the best interest of the Venezuelan
13:45
people I suggest you listen to dr. Steve
13:47
phonetic who supports the liberation of
13:50
Venezuelan people through coup or
13:52
military action we understand if Trump
13:54
must use military and precision strikes
13:56
against Venezuelan government to
13:57
liberate us you have previously stated
13:59
dr. Steve is knowledgeable on these
14:00
matters listen to him and repeat on your
14:03
shawl from mr. Alec on your show mr.
14:06
Alejandro Vasquez who is an engineer and
14:09
techno consult apparently so
14:13
this is coordinated obviously the the
14:16
the biggest commonality of interest is
14:19
pichan ik and the PO genic link so he
14:26
may be I guess botanics running an op
14:28
could be and these are his people or may
14:34
be form I don't know who it is mr. Chen
14:36
ik good he would put one of the mess one
14:46
of the emails would say your viewers and
14:50
yeah and make it seem like this could be
14:56
well I was kind of happy when I got this
15:03
matter in some small insignificant way
15:06
someone cares about what we say I wasted
15:10
my time was my email back to this guy
15:12
because it went felt it would not only
15:14
fell on deaf ears but didn't even go to
15:16
anybody this was not there was not
15:19
nothing to respond to on this you can't
15:21
even get to a back-and-forth
15:23
because these are just a Braj yeah well
15:26
as only three is not a bra if it was
15:32
more of uh I'm sure somebody some people
15:35
get ba Rajas and if we get a barrage at
15:38
some point but but it would be too
15:40
obvious the problem with us is that
15:43
since all we really do is deconstruct
15:44
stuff we don't take sides necessarily I
15:48
mean we take somewhat of a sign here and
15:50
there but since we don't a sense we're
15:52
mostly in the deconstruction they can't
15:54
send us a barrage because it would be
15:56
too obvious
15:56
it was obvious with only three what are
15:59
they gonna do now because we actually
16:02
read the emails we actually analyze the
16:05
emails and we find three sketchy emails
16:09
that come in pretty much formulaic and
16:12
we identify them immediately and then
16:14
report on him but you can't be sending
16:16
us stuff like this if it appears to me
16:19
that the sushi this is a continuation of
16:21
their 50 1950 strategy's the way they're
16:26
doing this I mean it's not just douchey
16:29
it's short-sighted and just dumb I mean
16:31
how are we not gonna figure this out so
16:33
they take a bunch of someone's taking a
16:35
bunch of techno experts now I personally
16:37
I'm thinking our own State Department
16:39
would do this I'm sure that's where they
16:41
have they have list of important
16:43
podcasts I'm sure Rogan is getting what
16:45
getting emails and you know - ever else
16:48
if you mention if you mentioned
16:50
Venezuela in the wrong way then you get
16:53
an email from the State Department but
16:56
they're even even what they're doing um
16:58
in mainstream so this is from the BBC
17:00
they're still using well in this case
17:04
I'll say the means from the 80s to get
17:06
everybody all riled up this is a spokes
17:08
hole for Guido a Vanessa Neumann and
17:12
she's talking to the BBC
17:14
well let's dr. Huang why those
17:15
representative here in the UK she's dr.
17:18
Vanessa annoy Minh welcome to the
17:20
program yesterday was a disaster for you
17:23
wasn't it no absolutely not
17:25
in fact we are keenly aware that this is
17:28
the beginning of a longer term operation
17:30
we know that this is a protest you do
17:33
not overthrow a 20 year dictatorship
17:35
really
17:36
in one day especially with the military
17:38
that is basically the world's biggest
17:40
drug cartel and part of the reason why
17:42
they are not flipping is because they
17:43
make eight point eight billion dollars a
17:45
year off their illicit trade which
17:47
includes narcotics weapons gasoline and
17:51
the food that they provide to the little
17:54
bit of food that they provide to the
17:55
starving people
17:56
this is unstoppable what we do have is
17:59
that everybody from the middle ranks on
18:01
down their families in them in the
18:04
military their families are also
18:05
starving they their children are also
18:08
dying of a lack of medicine there is
18:10
still oppression in the barracks do not
18:13
forget that they operate in the state of
18:14
terror so we have over a hundred
18:16
military commanders who have previously
18:19
attempted uprisings before they even the
18:21
appearance of gly though in order to
18:23
come in in line with the Constitution
18:24
they are being tortured so we are aware
18:27
that this is a protest we are fighting
18:30
for
18:30
not just for freedom but for very lives
18:32
our compatriots so we know that this is
18:35
going now the military majesty they did
18:38
not fire on us yeah commander we we have
18:40
sense weakness and we know we can take
18:42
it all the way just not giving up it's
18:44
yeah they're starving us and it's
18:46
horrible and then you always got to
18:48
bring this one in were you a senior
18:50
figures to come over to your side
18:52
yesterday there and yet and if so you
18:54
must be disappointed that they suddenly
18:56
back down well I think that you know
18:59
this this is a negotiation I mean I
19:01
think it's I think it's a disappointment
19:03
that all military will not will not
19:06
defend the Constitution we are still
19:08
engaging them president Wong why though
19:10
is the constitutional leader
19:12
what we have is Maduro is a leading a
19:14
drug cartel which is the number one
19:16
provider of narcotics to the United
19:18
Kingdom money that that won't step aside
19:22
and let the Constitution happen so if we
19:25
can't reduce it happen and we think that
19:27
eventually they will okay we know that
19:29
they will because there are actually
19:30
still having those conversations and
19:32
there's still a plane to take Maduro out
19:34
this woman lives in Britain it's almost
19:36
like the Syrian observe a ssin group or
19:40
whatever which is one guy
19:41
in Long Island and yeah pretending to be
19:44
tweeting from the frontlines yeah so
19:47
it's it's incredibly embarrassed
19:50
this is getting Morris kinky but a
19:53
second and did they have any way out I
19:57
guess I guess we're talking about the
19:59
guys trying to overturn the government
20:01
and take over the place and yeah the
20:03
drug business for themselves well you
20:05
say oil I say that I'm sorry I don't
20:07
expect to get any more notes yeah I
20:12
don't know they just like I said I
20:16
recall it what it is it was a Bosch and
20:19
it remains a botch and now they're just
20:21
making it worse they have to regroup so
20:25
how do I approach botanic about this I
20:27
got a call dude did you like send a
20:31
whole bunch of techno experts to me or
20:34
hey definitely stop emailing me Steve
20:37
how about that hey stop emailing me but
20:40
I would believe the following he doesn't
20:43
he's not-- he probably has some hint at
20:47
this I don't think he's behind it
20:48
because he's got other things to do he's
20:51
not kids did I'm sure right I think he's
20:53
ever listened and he doesn't listen to
20:55
the show yeah and you should tell him
20:58
what's going on and that they're using
20:59
him as leverage to that's the way that's
21:02
the approach right they're probably
21:03
doing this with everybody anything and
21:06
it's apparently obvious to you because
21:10
you saw these messages mm-hmm he should
21:12
do something about it
21:14
all right I will report back on Thursday
21:16
if Thursday ever comes gonna be a long
21:22
week you think I don't know it's like
21:25
you know you start messing with the
21:27
techno experts techno experts or techno
21:30
we need we have a like a clip or
21:33
something about the techno experts I'm
21:36
sure we have something staged techno
21:39
experts what's this hold on
21:41
oh the stupid clock comes from our Farsi
21:45
feed at US aid our Farsi yet the 2-part
21:49
quite let me get to Newland techno
21:51
experts um I'm the support dating back I
21:55
think it's almost two years now there
21:57
was support thing when ambassador Ford
21:59
was still there and he would go out to
22:00
meet with the local for naming
22:03
committees now that's too long what is
22:05
this Hillary on meddling with the way
22:07
way stop stop there is something you
22:09
know I talk about millou's and
22:11
identifiable mil used by voices yeah
22:13
that was Matt Lee no not him huh
22:17
the woman who did the opening this
22:20
wordage in that clip yes it has the
22:25
exact same voice and probably from the
22:27
same area of if you have the clip of the
22:32
NPR woman the voice of the person asking
22:37
the NPR woman about okay that's the
22:41
hardest clip to find I always mess it up
22:44
so I'll take your word for it that's
22:47
this exact same voice oh yeah of course
22:51
how about this one we're doing a lot of
22:53
work to try to come up with technologies
22:56
that can circumvent the jamming and the
22:59
interruptions and the tracking that the
23:02
the regime are engaged in right now you
23:07
know is more effective than others to
23:09
use technology to circumvent internet it
23:13
is freedom of speech and being into it
23:16
but we have also seen the regime in its
23:19
about it wrong anyway I can't find I
23:21
should have I should look for that
23:22
earlier yes
23:23
techno experts I'll talk to him we'll
23:25
see what happens see if anything pops up
23:29
in other
23:31
got nothing like he's being used as
23:33
she's being used as a tool but to say
23:36
that Elliott Abrams and Bolton are good
23:39
guys I don't care what pressure you're
23:41
under
23:41
I agree with this just not this no no
23:44
they're just not no no it's in
23:47
particular Oh Abrams sabers is a music
23:49
cool yeah these are they're terrible to
23:51
two terrible guys yep
23:54
but I hope that everyone in Venezuela
23:57
gets what they want I do I just want it
23:59
really but I just want people to no
24:01
longer no longer be sleeping under I 35
24:04
yeah yeah it doesn't do you any good at
24:06
35 problem though are you
24:09
yeah and step out of your car in the
24:11
morning you got a needle right next to
24:13
you you're a boy you're stepping in poop
24:15
it's a human poop well something a
24:19
couple interesting things going on and I
24:21
did get a reply hated to do it but I did
24:24
follow the Miss USA yeah I missed it
24:28
when was this uh
24:30
I think was Friday night or maybe sit
24:34
you could have been Saturday or Friday
24:36
night great so you watched you saw
24:41
something who got the highlights watch
24:45
because these shows are too long and
24:46
they're boring and they're dumb but
24:48
they're always political and the
24:49
questions are funny and that's why we
24:51
follow it that's pretty much all I do
24:53
and the thing was though there was a
24:55
there was a there was a overlaying
24:58
overly to explain it but there were
25:01
there was an overlay to the to the event
25:05
and the overlay consists of an something
25:08
going on in the Bay Area and I believe
25:10
it's going on all across the country and
25:12
it's called natural hair not this is a
25:16
movement yes big time let's listen to
25:19
NAT SB 188 one of ours California state
25:24
senators introducing bill Senate bill
25:26
188 to address this problem listen about
25:29
188 by senator Mitchell and AK relating
25:31
to discrimination senator Mitchell thank
25:35
you very much Madame president
25:36
colleagues today I'm presenting SB 188
25:39
the crown
25:40
to the goal the act to create a
25:42
respectful and open workplace for
25:44
natural hair colleagues the purpose of
25:47
introducing this bill and bringing it
25:48
before you today is really twofold first
25:52
to help dispel myths and educate those
25:55
of you who needed about the unique
25:57
qualities of black hair its texture and
25:59
the black hair experience secondly is to
26:02
challenge common held myths about what
26:05
constitutes professionalism in the
26:07
workplace until very recently a Google
26:12
image search for called unprofessional
26:14
hairstyles yielded only pictures of
26:18
black women with their natural hair or
26:20
rate or wearing braids or twists
26:23
although disheartening this fact was not
26:27
very surprising Eurocentric standards of
26:30
beauty have established the very
26:33
underpinnings of what was acceptable and
26:35
attractive in the media and academic
26:38
settings and in the workplace and so
26:42
even though African Americans were no
26:43
longer explicitly excluded from the
26:45
workplace black features and mannerisms
26:48
remained unacceptable and quote
26:51
unprofessional until recent decades
26:54
black men and women didn't often
26:57
challenge these standards they donned
26:59
wigs or straighten their hair with harsh
27:02
chemical relaxers to meet those
27:04
Eurocentric standards some people
27:07
believe that this is an issue of the
27:08
past that were beyond such outright
27:11
discrimination based on appearance yeah
27:15
I think I saw this or an article nodded
27:17
but I didn't know it was a that they did
27:19
I don't fit past but I didn't know there
27:20
was a law they were looking into it this
27:22
past 37 zip and so meanwhile all across
27:27
the country there are stories like this
27:28
this is the GNAT hair girl in Lake
27:30
County to change her locks they had a
27:35
problem with her natural hair Fox 35s
27:38
Daniel Lama is live on this one she's in
27:40
Lake County with her story dad now
27:43
what's the problem here well guys
27:45
we started looking into this story when
27:47
a mom called us upset her straight-a
27:50
student was being singled out because of
27:52
her hair we started making phone calls
27:55
to the school mom had a meeting and
27:57
tonight there's a new dress code policy
27:59
here at Montford Academy people say they
28:02
love my hair cause it's so diverse and
28:03
curly in Afrocentric 16 year old Nicole
28:07
or says she's known for her hair but she
28:10
never thought she would be singled out
28:12
in school because of it I received a
28:15
call saying that my daughter needed to
28:16
get her hair done and she wears her hair
28:19
natural and I was kind of taken aback by
28:22
it her parents say a school
28:25
administrator contacted them and said
28:27
this violated their dress code
28:30
she literally felt that well what's
28:32
wrong with my hair the Caucasian girls
28:34
are able to wear their natural hair
28:36
straight why can't I wear my natural
28:39
hair the way that it grows they were
28:40
referred to the handbook where one line
28:43
in particular stood out said trip like
28:46
hair and so that could be ambiguous and
28:50
it could give you latitude to target is
28:57
this all in California I believe this
29:00
would be going on everywhere and I think
29:02
it's part of a bigger movement and it
29:04
was confirmed as important because Miss
29:08
USA coincidentally has natural hair okay
29:14
as she's got that boobs just it's such a
29:17
hair her hair it's it's done it's not as
29:21
though it's just sticking out everywhere
29:24
but so it's quite attractive on her and
29:26
she's a beautiful woman she was one of
29:28
the prettiest girls in and made it clear
29:31
to us over and over referring to the
29:34
fact that she's a lawyer this is a
29:37
Chelsea Crist from North Carolina yes
29:40
yeah it looks like Diana Ross had this
29:42
hair for a while in the late 70s 80s
29:45
yeah so it's a natural it's not afro no
29:48
it's just the hair just hanging all over
29:51
the place and attractively in this
29:53
woman's case but it's been cut and
29:55
trimmed and make the made to look the
29:56
best it could but it's but it's
29:59
a bigger scheme because all these things
30:02
are incremental you don't just make a
30:04
big fuss about something that's
30:05
obviously something you don't need to
30:07
make a fuss about but they do it anyway
30:08
and so there's a bitching and moaning
30:10
about this natural hair and they have
30:12
the students and I'm sure there's other
30:14
people can find stories around the
30:15
country that have this situation
30:17
occurring but this is a movement I
30:21
noticed this some years ago and they
30:22
started too big and they pull back and
30:25
disappeared and they're deciding to go
30:27
with that well where where were these
30:29
social justice warriors when I got fired
30:31
once for my hair from MTV they hired me
30:33
back but they fired me because I
30:34
wouldn't cut it
30:36
you wouldn't cut it or you wouldn't cut
30:39
the hair I would not cause we're out
30:47
there now the thing that I picked up on
30:51
this a long time ago that what this is
30:53
really about ystem is to is to Inc you
30:55
start to increment because their initial
30:58
the initial attempted to in California
31:01
was about it was during our show era but
31:04
it was early on and it was an attempt to
31:08
and all discrimination against
31:11
appearance mm-hmm and this was for
31:14
people who would go into a job interview
31:16
with spikes in their face and face tasks
31:20
hidden cameras hidden camera stuff ear
31:24
get gauged ears so they had a big hole
31:27
in their head I mean there were horrible
31:30
looking people and so they were going
31:32
for anti discrimination laws and nobody
31:36
was buying it because employers weren't
31:38
can I hire these people especially if
31:40
they were front-facing in other words
31:41
they're gonna be an account or secular
31:43
stuff when I go into a doughnut shop and
31:45
I see some guy with gauged ears and the
31:49
boning is no it doesn't make you not
31:51
want the doughnut doesn't that make you
31:52
want I don't want the doughnut I shall
31:54
not buy the doughnut you're incredibly
32:00
bigoted mr. dvorak you won't buy the
32:02
doughnut because someone's got a
32:04
blown-out earlobe like guys creeping me
32:07
out I'm
32:07
binder donut so so they backed off on
32:12
this this idea because they went too far
32:15
right away and I believe that this
32:17
natural hair thing is an increment and
32:19
they're gonna start to move forward
32:22
again with it in mind at long-term you
32:25
have to hire somebody who's got you know
32:28
holes in their ears and and bones in
32:31
their nose and we're already like maybe
32:34
some of the one guy in Oakland got a
32:36
couple of horns that he had implanted
32:38
into his brain into his skull painted
32:44
his face red so he looks like the devil
32:46
you have to hire him that's what this is
32:49
about
32:49
well yeah of course if he's talented you
32:52
got a higher I mean if it's a foot I can
32:55
see the issue if it's a customer-facing
32:57
job but I guess they're going after
32:59
exactly that huh that's what they're
33:02
going for yeah it's not the same as your
33:08
hair comes out of your head as it comes
33:09
out of your head the horns don't
33:11
naturally come out of the head so that's
33:13
and it's not exactly a natural ward I
33:19
tell you it this reminds me of its
33:22
marketing tricks I mean a lot of
33:25
marketing strategies that you start with
33:28
the hardest thing to do and that's what
33:31
they did when they tried to make it so
33:33
you can't discriminate against people
33:35
because of their appearance right
33:36
and so that failed because if that went
33:40
through then what's the point of doing
33:41
anything else who cares is all done but
33:43
that it wasn't gonna happen because it
33:45
just it doesn't make any sense and so
33:48
now they're backing off and they're
33:49
gonna increment things to see how far
33:51
they get and so they and who is they
33:54
they it's very it's the vaso KSA's it's
33:59
the politically correct elites elites
34:03
but it's a certain group of them I don't
34:06
know what their point is but let's go
34:08
back to Miss USA and here we have we
34:11
have a natural hair winner this woman
34:14
from North Carolina who just goes on
34:16
every chance you get she says she's a
34:17
liar or her law firm she said was one of
34:21
quotes okay now I looked at the women as
34:23
they came out and picked my one two
34:25
three four five six or seven of the ones
34:28
I thought they were the prettiest and
34:29
they all got into the top 15 except for
34:33
Alaska who may have been she's kind of
34:36
he has exaggerated features I may have
34:38
been she's two more moist looks like
34:42
that she looked like an exaggerated
34:47
elizabeth berkley if anybody remembers
34:49
that actress hmm and Miss Kentucky who
34:52
should have been called up and she was
34:54
dumped uh then when they brought the top
34:57
15 out I thought the best the one that
35:00
should have been the winner or the best
35:01
one was that blondie from Florida who I
35:04
thought was very pretty but she got
35:07
kicked at the end where they had no
35:09
whites it was there wasn't all black
35:13
finals I know when one Latina made a big
35:18
point of it and then also a lawyer one
35:22
Latino one woman who was black and
35:26
Chippewa or something she's a very
35:29
strange-looking combination of people
35:31
and then Miss North Carolina who was a
35:34
beautiful woman and could have won any
35:36
competition but they were obviously not
35:38
going to let her compete with everybody
35:41
but because she had the natural hair
35:43
there was two women two black women that
35:45
had natural hair and this one was the
35:47
one that there was gonna be picked but
35:51
needless to say I felt the thing was
35:52
semi rigged but
35:57
imagine that so he had the one Mexican
36:01
the two blacks at the end as the three
36:03
finalists they had five finalists and
36:05
they were eliminated they eliminated two
36:08
of them first I don't know why they do
36:09
it this way but they did a parliamentary
36:14
inquiry procedural question was this the
36:16
year where they had no bathing suits no
36:19
they had bad news business you were
36:21
saying that Miss America oh I'm sorry
36:22
okay my mistake
36:23
all right good well let some commentary
36:27
on the who had the best figure oh yeah
36:31
miss Florida handled herself the best in
36:34
the bathing suit too
36:36
miss Ohio got in who for a while in 2015
36:40
and she looked like Savannah Guthrie and
36:43
and then in one view she looked a little
36:45
like Mickey I should remind I should
36:48
remind everybody that we do this from a
36:52
television production standpoint and not
36:55
a old douchebag white guy who's sitting
36:59
a sprog standpoint yeah we do do from a
37:01
very objective perspective particularly
37:04
because it's political well that's the
37:08
thing that that this was the worst case
37:10
scenario because in this case they've
37:12
been over the years we've noticed
37:13
they've been slipping in more and more
37:15
and more political questions hoping that
37:17
people spew some sort of left-wing
37:19
message that's my belief and this viewer
37:24
is all I have all five questions they're
37:26
short I cut them way down so you only
37:28
have the court you don't have the intro
37:30
and miss so you Arkansas come out hello
37:32
and they I killed all that and we have
37:37
the five questions and answers that I
37:39
got so this is short and then I have the
37:43
Miss North Carolina's answer to the last
37:46
question where they asked the same exact
37:48
question this is pretty just by the way
37:50
to amuse me to no end so they got to cut
37:54
the question that they have were the
37:55
three girls and they're gonna ask the
37:57
same question so they put a headphones
38:00
on them and as soon as they said they're
38:02
gonna do that I said holy crap how are
38:05
they going to do this with Miss North
38:07
Carolina with her natural hair her hair
38:11
it was theirs you couldn't find any of
38:14
you be about a foot between the
38:16
headphone and her head
38:19
so it was basically a racist thing for
38:22
them to even suggest well I think there
38:25
wasn't in fact but the solution was
38:28
simple
38:28
bring her out first you never put
38:33
perfect innovative alright so let's
38:39
listen to some questions here starting
38:42
with Miss USA Arkansas
38:45
okay all right your question is America
38:48
is one of the most racially diverse
38:50
countries in the world yet it is also
38:53
one of the most racially divided why do
38:55
you think this is well I think diversity
38:58
is one of the most unique things about
39:00
our country and it's one of the most
39:02
special and we should cultivate that we
39:05
shouldn't be divided we shouldn't look
39:07
at our fellow contestants our fellow man
39:09
and say you are like me so I don't like
39:12
you you don't look like me so I am
39:15
racist against you we should come
39:17
together and involve everyone in our
39:20
lives
39:21
I think these 51 contestants that have
39:23
stood up here tonight represent our
39:25
country so well because they are so
39:27
diverse you don't look like me so I'm
39:41
racist against don't be racist on that
39:49
matter on that mofo don't look at me so
39:53
I'm a racist against you so she was the
39:55
one white girl in the fire she was the
39:58
disk question even order out she's done
40:00
done she was going on and on about
40:05
diversity but this was you notice this
40:07
message was also in the report about the
40:11
natural hair which we played earlier
40:13
where hair is diversity according to the
40:15
girl wearing clothes frizzy-haired of
40:17
course it is hair is diversity now okay
40:20
well whatever so let's go to Miss USA
40:23
Nevada's question so your question is in
40:27
October my friend Kelsey Quayle was
40:31
fatally shot while innocently driving to
40:33
work and your opinion what is the
40:36
largest contributing factor to the high
40:38
rate of gun violence
40:40
in our nation Oh God can I can I take
40:42
this one can I can I answer this one
40:44
you won't quite get it right because the
40:46
girl I'm expecting her to say the
40:50
problem is guns because guns kill people
40:54
I think that what contributes to the
40:58
high rate of gun violence is the
41:00
availability to all of the weapons I
41:03
think there has to be another look into
41:05
the gun reform and we have to consider
41:08
mental health in this situation as well
41:10
because this is not just about guns this
41:16
is about what is going on in the in the
41:18
minds of these so she starts off with
41:24
the right answer by gun reform even
41:26
though orthogonal thing the gun recoils
41:30
she says mental health for some reason I
41:33
think this applause I went on too late
41:35
and it sounded so they're applauding her
41:37
mention of mental health I think they
41:39
are applauding hurting her the case was
41:43
you know she was on one track and she
41:45
changed tracks
41:47
well she's oh my god this is I'm on the
41:50
right track is who so soon so dropping
41:52
the gun availability issue she went on
41:55
and on about mental health and I thought
41:57
that was Larry but I also think that's
41:58
the right answer for this crowd that is
42:01
what the diverse social justice warriors
42:03
want to hear because you get you know
42:05
therefore the person who uses the gun to
42:08
kill people is also a victim you say
42:14
look into the gun reform and we have to
42:18
consider mental health in this situation
42:21
as well because
42:24
or maybe just someone walked by like
42:26
Jack Nicholson or something this is
42:37
about what is going on in the in the
42:39
minds of these of these it's definitely
42:50
a mental health issue it's not justice
42:52
at any point was there steam coming out
42:55
of her ears when she was trying to
42:56
answer the question was like will plumes
42:58
of smoke
42:59
I wouldn't say dingbat no that'd be very
43:03
rude it was she was so cute and she was
43:06
trying to get the answer out and she I
43:09
think she just was confused okay did
43:11
anyone have a question about Trump come
43:13
on I don't think there was a direct
43:17
question about Trump let's go to USA
43:19
Miss New Mexico the 2020 election is
43:23
right around the corner what is one
43:25
issue you would like all candidates to
43:27
address and why well being from a border
43:32
state and being born and raised in a
43:34
border city immigration is something
43:36
that is very important to me this is not
43:38
a black and white issue and that is why
43:41
we need to have discussions and continue
43:43
to listen to each other I think that
43:45
there's so many people out there wanting
43:48
the American dream and my parents
43:49
immigrated here from Monterrey Mexico
43:52
[Applause]
43:54
and their representation of their
43:56
American dream Thank You New Mexico
44:00
where was this held this miss event I
44:04
think was in Vegas or Reno okay all
44:06
right
44:07
David Reno that's a safe safe answer
44:09
safe safe safe yeah it was okay safe she
44:13
was pretty and and then we have not yet
44:17
there's guide to North Carolina here you
44:19
don't want to play the final question
44:21
I'm gonna play Miss USA North Carolina
44:22
that's this is the winner and this is
44:24
her answer to this disease this dumb
44:26
series of questions which were asked by
44:28
by the losers by the way before before
44:31
we move on now do they have judges in
44:33
the that's on the panel the judges yeah
44:37
there are judges who was that who were
44:39
the judges I don't know only one that
44:43
matters is you John I'm just asking as a
44:47
mage there's just a bunch of slobs and
44:49
they're given a script I mean judging
44:51
anything so your question is for the
44:54
past two years the hash tag me too and
44:57
hash tag time's up have dominated our
44:59
national conversation however some
45:02
believe it has only deepened the divide
45:04
between men and women have
45:06
these movements gone too far I don't
45:09
think these movements have gone too far
45:11
what me too and times up are about our
45:14
making sure that we fosters safe and
45:16
inclusive workplaces in our country as
45:19
an attorney that's exactly what I want
45:21
to hear that's exactly what I want for
45:23
this country I think they're good
45:24
movement Thank You Carolina yeah yeah
45:28
that that's sad kind of but then maybe
45:32
it's good for women when the talent
45:34
portion of the competition is your
45:36
lawyer because that's really what what
45:38
it is I mean it used to be I can twirl a
45:40
baton oh I can dance I can play a piano
45:44
I can I'm a ventriloquist but now you
45:46
just show up you're a lawyer I think you
45:48
you're you kind of got a couple steps
45:50
ahead right there oh she was milking it
45:53
too now fantastic good honor her law
45:57
firm she mentioned earlier what kind of
46:00
law does she practice did we learn that
46:02
never we never found out it you ever saw
46:04
a wiki page will determine that but that
46:08
answer she's gonna be quicker on her
46:13
feet than most of them and so the last
46:16
question comes up and I didn't record
46:18
all of them it was not it was not that
46:20
interesting but I did record the winners
46:23
North Carolina's answer to the last
46:24
question which everybody got asked not
46:26
everybody but the three finalists got
46:29
asked and this is and that was Oklahoma
46:33
New Mexico and North Carolina and all
46:36
southern states are states south and
46:40
this is the question this is her answer
46:42
and it was you know here's your question
46:47
Millennials are often labeled as
46:49
entitled but they've also been called
46:51
one of the most socially conscious
46:53
generations in decades
46:54
what is one word you would use to
46:56
describe your generation and
46:59
I would say that my generation is
47:02
innovative I'm standing here in Nevada
47:05
in the state that has the first majority
47:08
female legislature in this entire
47:11
country the first generation to have
47:15
that forward-looking mindset that has
47:17
inclusivity diversity and strength and
47:21
empowered women I'm looking forward to
47:23
continued progress with my generation
47:25
thank you that sounds good I can see
47:31
what except for the fact that the
47:33
majority women legislature and Nevada's
47:37
not Millennials but okay she'll take
47:39
credit for it
47:40
like Millennials do I was thinking this
47:44
take credit for it if you know like you
47:46
said I'm the judge here last night I
47:48
realized that we are now into our second
47:51
generation of producers on this show
47:53
we're in 11 years what didn't we just do
47:57
then we educate an entire generation and
47:59
now we're taking on their younger their
48:00
younger siblings or who else who else is
48:03
coming now well we're hoping so now is
48:11
she going to leave her law practice and
48:13
go on the tour and speak to children and
48:16
particularly young girls around the
48:18
world is that is that what she's going
48:20
to do is that let's see
48:22
she's a be honest about she's a
48:25
beautiful woman with a lot of potential
48:29
for media she's gonna be honest if he's
48:31
gonna be on TV so quick actually there's
48:34
a Dewar's at least I would say at least
48:36
ten women throughout the competition
48:39
that are just yet anchorwoman written
48:43
all over me you know good news reader
48:44
maybe just news model we attend to call
48:48
that spokesmodel and so they have so she
48:53
let's go over this and and now let's
48:56
analyze your question why he's asking so
48:58
you have this woman that said and she's
49:01
actually more less media more movies
49:04
mm-hmm that's what you know she has that
49:06
look of a movie actress uh yeah and she
49:10
has a choice of going on the road and
49:12
and showing you know herself to be just
49:15
various groups and practicing being in
49:18
front of large audiences or she could
49:22
stay at her law firm and Drudge your way
49:25
and a day-to-day basis going over
49:27
paperwork in contracts yeah I think I'd
49:31
love to be on CNN all day well maybe she
49:34
could replace joy Reid she's gonna be at
49:41
that love she's Network you could tell
49:43
she's hey she could end up on Fox
49:46
because she's a lawyer nothing PBS needs
49:50
her in the NewsHour the word Gwen would
49:52
we lost Gwen Ifill
49:53
we need a replace you with this yummy SH
49:57
woman yes Nelson yeah Michelle LLC on
50:00
door or come come hell's Comicon Cui's
50:03
the door and she they're not gonna I
50:08
don't know how to deal with her she's
50:09
very amateurish and she should be out
50:11
and this woman doesn't look like a news
50:13
type she really looks like she should be
50:15
an enact an actress and have been in the
50:18
Hollywood period well speaking of
50:20
speaking of natural hair
50:22
I watched the knock down the house
50:24
documentary on Netflix which is an
50:27
award-winning Sundance documentary I
50:29
might point out which features the for
50:32
social justice Democrats and how they
50:36
were picked and how they were trained
50:38
and it's their own it's the their own
50:40
footage and they're very proud of how
50:42
they did it and it's I recommend
50:44
everybody watch it and you the see Amy
50:49
vilela cory bush Paula Jean swearing-in
50:53
they didn't win you can end it all so
50:56
they've really cut down their pieces
50:57
significantly in this documentary but
50:59
aoc Wow
51:02
I mean it proves you really can take
51:04
someone who's standing by in a bar and
51:07
you can put them in the US Congress and
51:08
it was well done and it was emotional
51:12
III always get emotional by achievement
51:15
so I I like that
51:17
the thing that really struck me though
51:19
is and and this comes back to the
51:22
natural hair it starts off and she's in
51:25
her
51:25
I think it's a hotel room I don't think
51:27
it's her apartment or hotel room and
51:28
she's doing her makeup in the morning
51:30
she's talking about how it's so easy for
51:32
man because he is throw on you know they
51:34
just throw on a suit and tie and they're
51:36
done with thanks no that's not true but
51:38
okay let's say you believe it and she's
51:41
the women have to put on their makeup
51:42
and so she was completely without makeup
51:44
and John I got to tell you with the with
51:48
the long hair and her Latin you know
51:50
features I had I did a double-take she
51:53
looked just like Christina's
51:55
ex-boyfriend Juan from Los Angeles it
51:58
was uncanny completely different this
52:05
one was the same law and Juan is you
52:08
know he's like 30 in LA he's going
52:10
nowhere gloves wrestling and no wonder
52:14
Christina dumped him he's a great guy
52:16
he's a sweet guy and very talented
52:18
artist but does nothing with it but he's
52:20
just this is one she looks like a man is
52:23
that what you're telling me
52:24
yeah to me yeah without her makeup it's
52:26
very very different anyway now you
52:30
really understand that when she's got
52:33
her notes and when she's following the
52:35
the program and her train her script
52:37
then she's you know it's fine and the
52:40
minute she goes off she loses the plot
52:42
but she's come yeah you can see how this
52:45
works it's great and they had some money
52:46
I don't know who that justice Democrats
52:48
they had money to get this going I'm
52:51
sure they have a lot more but it's they
52:53
have a lot more now they didn't have
52:54
that much then no they had a little bit
52:56
with their headquarters in Kentucky but
52:58
there were 20 people on the payroll
53:00
getting stuff done a lot of his border
53:04
lines very very of course very
53:08
impressive though I was impressed by its
53:12
impressive operation there's no doubt
53:13
about it
53:14
deplorable but depressed was deplorable
53:19
and all right let's talk about the purge
53:22
for a moment I am very happy to report
53:26
that NPR's whenever it's about anything
53:29
from Silicon Valley even if it's a a
53:32
political conversation about who's being
53:34
deep platformed this week they love to
53:37
bring in their Millennials this one's
53:39
kind of
53:39
special though Paris Martineau covers
53:42
social media and internet culture for
53:44
Wired magazine and joins us from our
53:46
studios in New York so exactly who who
53:49
are we talking about who was banned yeah
53:50
so I'm on Thursday afternoon Facebook
53:54
banned six high-profile extremists and
53:58
one conspiracy theorists cite
54:03
high-profile
54:04
extremists this is good Laura Loomer is
54:09
a high-profile extremist apparently I
54:15
mean she's one of the the six that got
54:17
blatant extremist in what what realm
54:27
extremists her noon Facebook banned six
54:32
high-profile extremists and one
54:34
conspiracy theorist site that includes
54:37
inflammatory figure heads in the far
54:40
right like Laura Loomer Infowars Alex
54:43
Jones and Paul Joseph Watson as well as
54:46
white supremacist Paul nellen and
54:49
radical Muslim preacher Louis Farrakhan
54:52
so President Trump and other
54:54
conservatives have accused various
54:56
social media companies for censoring
54:57
right woman she's talking too fast well
55:02
they're they're both kind of did the one
55:04
from Wired is almost doing in there was
55:07
an ASMR recording stressed and then the
55:14
other ones just blast and Pastor Trump
55:16
and other conservatives have accused
55:17
various social media companies for
55:19
censoring right-wing opinions of Alex
55:22
Jones monopolist lose Farrakhan they've
55:25
been around for a long time so why is
55:27
Facebook doing this now so a facebook
55:28
spokesperson told me that the company
55:30
has always banned individuals and
55:32
organizations that promote or engage in
55:34
violence and hate regardless of ideology
55:36
but the people and organization ban
55:38
Thursday were just as extreme and
55:40
peddled just as much misinformation and
55:42
hate a year ago as they did Thursday
55:45
what's been the fallout from this the
55:48
fallout has largely been the people
55:50
banned protests in their band
55:52
there was a bit of a snafu in the fact
55:54
that Facebook kind of seeded a number of
55:57
media outlets on Thursday afternoon with
55:59
this story in advance then I'm gonna
56:02
stop this for a second
56:03
here's what's interesting about this
56:06
there was no official press release no
56:10
written word from Facebook about this at
56:12
all and it went around really fast
56:15
because this so-called snafu where they
56:19
ceded some press I think Atlantic and a
56:23
couple others of maybe waffleh waffleh
56:25
waffleh waffleh and and they and they
56:29
said well here's what's going down he
56:30
was gonna happen but they hadn't knocked
56:32
those people off yet so they were just
56:35
letting everybody know ahead of time
56:37
that they were going to be kicked off
56:38
and so and that was under embargo
56:40
because of course yes the willing media
56:43
is very willing to sit on that ha ha ha
56:45
I will wait under embargo until you kick
56:47
them off I'm still reporting now I live
56:55
with a communications expert and she
56:59
says this is bogut if that would be the
57:02
keeper so this is Bogut if they that's
57:05
no snafu they're trying to be relevant
57:07
because I'm quoting now because all
57:09
Facebook is now is old people and
57:11
nonprofits which I thought was pretty
57:14
good analysis and they're just trying to
57:18
show that they are clean as a whistle
57:22
for whatever may be lurking behind this
57:25
I'm sure there was not some horrible
57:27
outrage that ensued over Laura Loomer or
57:30
whatever she might have posted or Paul
57:33
Joseph Watson I've heard his material
57:38
it's later I can't even watch it should
57:42
be thrown off because it's not
57:43
entertaining how about that I'm with you
57:45
on that Facebook was listening the rest
57:46
of this and there was a bit of a snafu
57:48
in the fact that Facebook kind of seeded
57:51
a number of media outlets in Thursday
57:52
afternoon with this story in advance
57:54
then struggled to actually take down the
57:58
accounts at the time these extremists
58:03
figure heads to publish on their face
58:06
and soon to be vent Instagram accounts
58:08
follow me on the other platform huh
58:10
so is this I mean is this setting a
58:13
precedent or we're gonna see Facebook
58:14
continue to ban accounts and who makes
58:16
those decisions those are all great
58:18
questions
58:22
Facebook is like Facebook oftentimes
58:24
going to do whatever it wants and will
58:28
it'll be interesting to see how it
58:29
continues to apply this going forward
58:31
whether it'll stick with it thank you
58:37
for your courage
58:37
thank you for your Fri no I have some
58:42
thoughts about this you any thoughts
58:43
about why this is taking place why they
58:45
why they've done this seemingly for for
58:47
no real issue
58:49
oh I mean if I I don't have any serious
58:54
thoughts I have some unserious thoughts
58:56
like maybe this isn't prelude for the
58:59
2020 elections they want to keep anybody
59:02
who's uh who might you know interfere
59:05
with it with the litany with the West
59:09
Coast liberal bias you don't need this
59:13
kind of aggravation people questioning
59:16
Authority I don't know Zuckerberg has
59:19
been calling for regulation for a while
59:21
I mean he said now it's time for the
59:23
government to regulate the Internet so
59:26
I'm thinking he's setting he's planting
59:29
a flag but maybe you know MasterCard has
59:32
been I think they're holding a
59:34
shareholder vote to determine whether
59:38
MasterCard should have a program in
59:41
place that can cut off payments for far
59:44
right on the political scale Facebook is
59:49
also trying to do they wanted to a
59:50
currency a crypto currency and they're
59:54
looking I think they were looking to do
59:55
like a billion dollar all coin offering
59:59
or something like that yeah 1 billion
1:00:02
and they've been talking to a lot of
1:00:04
banks and maybe that maybe they're
1:00:05
talking to
1:00:06
MasterCard I don't know it to me this
1:00:08
feels like a corporate move in in regard
1:00:11
like there's something they want to do
1:00:12
and do they want to make sure they don't
1:00:15
have it's like brand safe to the extreme
1:00:17
let's put it that way
1:00:19
you
1:00:21
why don't they do it in general though I
1:00:23
mean there's some very important but
1:00:26
people on Facebook and Twitter for that
1:00:29
matter her on the left I would say how
1:00:32
does Carl Reiner continue to spew his
1:00:36
venom pointer it makes no sense to me
1:00:38
yeah well then the only thing what
1:00:42
brands say for the left I mean what you
1:00:44
is just to encourage Democrats to
1:00:47
advertise their I'm not sure what I'm
1:00:49
gonna get it well I was talking more
1:00:50
about if you're invited everybody wants
1:00:52
to be beat all Silicon Valley companies
1:00:54
it ultimately have one final goal Apple
1:00:58
is getting there
1:00:59
they want to be your bank now Paul I
1:01:02
think is pretty far along Google has
1:01:04
their initiatives Facebook has been
1:01:06
looking at this for a long time they all
1:01:07
want to control and whether they really
1:01:09
your bank or whether they're just
1:01:10
controlling your purchase mechanism
1:01:12
they're taking a piece of the action
1:01:13
right but they they want to be a much
1:01:16
much much bigger player in that where
1:01:18
else are they going to go they already
1:01:19
have your information the only thing the
1:01:21
only data they don't actually have 100%
1:01:23
access to is the data in your bank
1:01:25
account they want to control that too
1:01:26
that's in there that is in their DNA
1:01:28
that's what these companies do they need
1:01:31
to grow I'll get you your making it
1:01:34
you're not connecting the dots
1:01:38
okay the mechs well no I'm connecting
1:01:41
the dots by saying MasterCard which is
1:01:45
an important player and anyone who's
1:01:47
going to do anything with any type of
1:01:48
money will have to deal with MasterCard
1:01:50
online they're talking about having a
1:01:53
committee that can deep lat form users
1:01:56
from even using their transaction system
1:01:59
Facebook wants to do transactions maybe
1:02:01
they're prepping for some kind of big
1:02:03
deal that's what I understand that part
1:02:06
of your argument I just don't understand
1:02:08
why does it have to be a bunch of
1:02:10
right-wingers or borderline
1:02:12
right-wingers are just goofballs like
1:02:14
Laura Loomer who loom arises people and
1:02:17
you know makes fools out of them and
1:02:19
interrupts public meetings to make some
1:02:22
you know valid points I think in many
1:02:24
cases I don't get it why why just them
1:02:27
well they also kicked off hurricanes so
1:02:29
you know that was easy exactly it's joy
1:02:33
swage the right oh we got rid of Farah
1:02:36
can - who else who else did you get rid
1:02:38
of besides Farah can new nobody know
1:02:42
we'll see
1:02:43
and we already compared to like Paul
1:02:45
like to Watson and Loomer I would put
1:02:48
both in the categories if it's like
1:02:50
Darren did them they're not promoting
1:02:53
hate or weirdness or anything it seems
1:02:56
to me watching just complains and Loomer
1:03:00
just tries to make fools let it be
1:03:01
that's my feeling I don't even think of
1:03:03
the Alex Jones is much more than a
1:03:04
really entertaining guy so what's your
1:03:08
theory I don't have one okay all right
1:03:12
my theories is just trying to stop
1:03:14
right-wing debates or they're just
1:03:16
trying to prove to you signaling to the
1:03:19
douchebags and silicon value for some
1:03:22
unknown reason over the last 20 or 30
1:03:24
years with god cover left-wing right
1:03:28
after wingers get it that must be very
1:03:30
disturbing to live there and see that
1:03:32
happen it was extremely disturbing you
1:03:36
know but it more of a quizzical thing is
1:03:39
like wait a minute this happened I know
1:03:43
some of the reasons for it I mean John
1:03:45
Doerr is one of the number one Democrat
1:03:48
supporters and a big promoter of this to
1:03:50
the point where he calls people out and
1:03:52
he gets into artists - is he still a big
1:03:54
deal in in Silicon Valley even after all
1:03:56
these failures it's just the money
1:03:59
including my company well he's not the
1:04:04
big deal he once was right and insofar
1:04:06
as venture capital is concerned he's not
1:04:09
no they don't turn to him but when it
1:04:11
comes to politics which is where he
1:04:14
resides now I mean he's the one who
1:04:16
brought Al Gore into the car he's the
1:04:19
one who was pramana renew bono but bar
1:04:22
Novato and Green Green Green that's an
1:04:24
invest in green that's where the money
1:04:26
is it was a huge green tech green tech
1:04:29
um it goes back to if anybody wants to
1:04:33
chide you I don't even know anybody
1:04:35
still at Kleiner Perkins knows about the
1:04:38
snow blower
1:04:40
Fiasco of years early snow blower fee I
1:04:42
don't even know the snow blower fiasco
1:04:45
yeah apparently they funded some what
1:04:47
they thought was gonna be the future of
1:04:47
something all I remember is this vague
1:04:50
now but it's a invested millions and
1:04:54
millions of some snow blower company
1:04:56
that somehow it catches the snow blower
1:04:58
to a bicycle and the sidewalk system I
1:05:04
don't remember I mean I know that they I
1:05:06
think they participated in the first at
1:05:09
the Segway I remember that oh the Segway
1:05:12
they were all this they were all over on
1:05:14
this but while everybody in the offices
1:05:19
was right I never saw anybody driving
1:05:24
around but they all had a Segway and
1:05:26
they all have these big glassed-in
1:05:27
offices back and each one haven't had a
1:05:30
Segway plot plugged into the wall as if
1:05:32
they were gonna use it and then when
1:05:37
they when they got the 500 million that
1:05:40
was Ray Lane he got the 500 million
1:05:41
dollars from the government to support
1:05:44
Fisker which went up its literal smoke
1:05:47
everybody was driving Fiskars and
1:05:51
plugging them in new me I got a plug in
1:05:53
my at $300,000 car yes you be I guess
1:06:00
the moral of the story is he would be
1:06:03
surprised how the people who fund a lot
1:06:07
of companies and then really run what
1:06:10
goes where how inadequate and stupid
1:06:14
they are yeah well they made the money
1:06:19
is made on the leverage with the very
1:06:21
few companies that just skyrocket in
1:06:24
value and it makes everybody filthy rich
1:06:26
is like this shake of the dice it's just
1:06:29
they didn't even get in on Google they
1:06:31
had to buy in because they taste the
1:06:32
bones like it's a credit for it yeah
1:06:35
everybody I noticed this too it's like I
1:06:37
know when Google started and then all of
1:06:41
a sudden it starts to go public all
1:06:43
these guys buy in at the highest prices
1:06:45
so they could say they were part of the
1:06:47
founding crap yeah it was a I'd heard
1:06:51
that whole story from I think maybe from
1:06:53
John doar told me where they had to it
1:06:56
would the deal with this some deal was
1:06:57
happening and they
1:06:58
weren't in on it and then they called it
1:07:00
was it you got it we got to be in on
1:07:01
this deal and then they did this at
1:07:03
three in the morning so they still had a
1:07:05
piece of it because it would be too
1:07:06
embarrassing
1:07:07
it's where were you guys when Google
1:07:10
happened yeah kind of exactly well with
1:07:13
that John jean-claude I would like to
1:07:15
thank you for your courage and say in
1:07:17
the morning to you the man who put the
1:07:18
see everyone in the troll room no agenda
1:07:31
stream comm is where you control to your
1:07:34
heart's content you can do it with your
1:07:36
other fellow trolls come in as a lone
1:07:37
troll whatever you need and we love it
1:07:40
because I think in my one-liners I get
1:07:43
to correct it get information and
1:07:45
sometimes I've it's just fun to be
1:07:47
trolled thank you no agenda stream com
1:07:49
merci beaucoup also in the morning to
1:07:51
woody I do not believe woody has ever
1:07:54
scored a pick for album art no he's done
1:07:58
a couple over the stem floor nice that's
1:08:01
more than a couple that's several done
1:08:03
several over the course of his career
1:08:05
and nailed it with the bar bunch in the
1:08:09
Brady Bunch
1:08:10
montage for episode 1134 that episode
1:08:14
was titled opinion people and it was
1:08:16
just good I mean it's it's a classic
1:08:18
it's we've had them similar to this
1:08:21
before but he can't go wrong with
1:08:24
bringing in all of the nut jobs and bar
1:08:26
and call it the bar brunch it was a it
1:08:28
was fun
1:08:29
good and we appreciate it woody thank
1:08:30
you very much no agenda art generator
1:08:32
calm which thanks Paul for keeping that
1:08:35
thing fresh up and running it's part of
1:08:37
our value for value model and people
1:08:39
doing stuff you're all producers truly
1:08:45
fascinating you know we're such a great
1:08:48
group I was looking at some of the
1:08:50
meetup pictures and looking at the list
1:08:52
of meetups what we've achieved here and
1:08:56
not you and I but with everybody it's
1:08:58
it's pretty phenomenal when you think
1:09:00
about the talent the knowledge the
1:09:04
knowledge that people have and I mean it
1:09:07
goes from 6 euros Bob nine-year-olds to
1:09:11
retired Marine Colonel 'z we've got
1:09:14
doctors we've got I got a ton of Big
1:09:17
Pharma people who are giving us their
1:09:20
boots on the ground reporting it's just
1:09:22
there's so much I don't think anyone can
1:09:25
really can really get to where we've got
1:09:28
you could there's no shortcut let me put
1:09:29
it that way nitrogen I know I speak on
1:09:31
behalf of John we appreciate it
1:09:33
and especially those who support us
1:09:36
financially in particular when it's
1:09:38
difficult even to get a reminder out
1:09:40
because you do have to do that in this
1:09:41
value for value model you have to remind
1:09:43
people you have a show remind people
1:09:44
that we need to be supported and those
1:09:46
who can do and so people did come in
1:09:48
some people did receive the message then
1:09:50
we're gonna thank them right now as our
1:09:52
executive producers and associate
1:09:53
executive producers for episode 1135
1:09:56
1135 well considering it Cinco DeMayo we
1:10:00
only got four R's for and what I was
1:10:02
saying we got three one executive
1:10:04
producer into associate so it's not
1:10:06
gonna be a long segment except for the
1:10:07
fact that the these people are
1:10:10
long-winded Dave Duncan starts this
1:10:13
often from Orem Utah 103 and $33.33 and
1:10:18
he says heads up by once the Sharpton
1:10:21
kept dodging some karma here's a bevy of
1:10:24
threes for you thanks to both for the
1:10:25
best podcast in the universe according
1:10:27
to the molar report and many years of
1:10:30
sanity you have imparted I don't care to
1:10:34
ingest much news anymore but when I do I
1:10:36
view it through the no agenda lens which
1:10:38
dramatically reduces the anxiety would
1:10:40
otherwise cause a big shout-out to Mike
1:10:44
scelera that's sir Mike Knight of the
1:10:46
jig averse to you for repeatedly hitting
1:10:50
me in the mouth many years ago even when
1:10:52
I quit listening after trying a few
1:10:54
episodes few shows back you mentioned
1:10:56
the Mormon CIA never Trump or a
1:10:58
connection as am Utah Mormon who
1:11:00
graduated from BYU I took particular
1:11:03
interest in your Mormon CIA never Trump
1:11:06
or deconstruction Mormons have a strong
1:11:08
sense of patriotism and are short on on
1:11:10
the vices which can compromise many
1:11:13
agents no drinking no drugs no
1:11:16
extramarital sex
1:11:19
that's intersteno is the CIA only refers
1:11:22
to one no drugs
1:11:26
correct true which leads to heavy
1:11:30
recruiting at BYU by the FBI the CIA and
1:11:34
the NSA as a bonafide
1:11:37
has bonafide prudes its steezy for
1:11:40
Mormons to dislike Trump I thought it
1:11:42
was a never Trump er for a while I got
1:11:44
better
1:11:45
well I still dislike Trump personally
1:11:47
not to mention his past womanizing I
1:11:50
take him over fellow Mormons
1:11:52
backstabbing flip flocking to the
1:11:54
flopping hypocrite MIT Romney or Spy
1:11:58
Hillary supporter Kevin McMullan any day
1:12:03
Mike Lee however seems to be gaining
1:12:06
some respect for Trump note the fast few
1:12:10
seconds of Mike Lee's CPAC speech last
1:12:12
year quote I say bring it on let's roll
1:12:15
let's keep making America great again
1:12:17
well that's it well you know I have
1:12:22
somebody else wrote me another I had a
1:12:23
couple of Mormons write me and and time
1:12:27
one of them was very concerned because
1:12:28
he was convinced that Mike Lee was a
1:12:31
huge trump supporter and I had to brief
1:12:33
him on Mike Lee's anti-trump nature and
1:12:36
then he's and then he cited his Twitter
1:12:39
feed and I said if you read his Twitter
1:12:41
feed which I did it's really just very
1:12:44
he's a very Pro Republican and so at
1:12:48
some point he has to support the
1:12:49
president and that's but as far as it
1:12:51
goes anyway I note the less you agreed
1:12:54
goes on anyway thanks for the sanity I'd
1:12:56
love an L Sharpton montage with some
1:12:58
karma Dave Duncan Orem Utah Oh 73 s kf7
1:13:02
UWL yes or as he puts a kilo Foxtrot
1:13:05
seven uniform whiskey Lima Dan and in
1:13:08
the morning to you 73 kilo 5 alpha
1:13:10
Charlie Charlie thank you very much for
1:13:12
your support
1:13:17
lunch
1:13:19
chip relate the tortise in the race
1:13:28
Weaver ESP ICT they're all shitty ESP I
1:13:35
see there's no real conference we but we
1:13:44
but we must and we will much about
1:13:55
[Music]
1:13:57
you've got karma
1:13:59
let's figured it was time to play the
1:14:00
long version of that and talking about
1:14:04
long versions as a note that's oversized
1:14:06
I think you can skip through some parts
1:14:08
of this maybe yes miss $233 $0.69 ITM
1:14:15
John Adam in the squeaky chair what's
1:14:20
that sure it's not oh what's it's no he
1:14:22
says hi back the sheriff says hi God now
1:14:24
you're like pee-wee Herman wait wait
1:14:27
okay that's not worth repeating i sir
1:14:32
I'm a listener since about oh sure I'm a
1:14:34
listener since about 950 is my first
1:14:36
donating so I need a D douching okay now
1:14:44
he goes on about how the black boxes
1:14:46
work in cars and he apparently is an
1:14:49
expert in black box technology and
1:14:51
well-known that's when the reason he
1:14:53
wants to be anonymous he says what we're
1:14:58
referring to as a black box in is an air
1:15:00
bag computer which also acts as an event
1:15:03
data recorder as it works today that
1:15:05
upon deployment of the air bag the send
1:15:08
key algorithm that typically allows this
1:15:11
computer of taking software updates
1:15:14
being erased and overwritten - and
1:15:16
participating in the can bus controllers
1:15:19
kit central controller area network this
1:15:22
is the reason that if your air bag goes
1:15:24
off you're told you also need to replace
1:15:25
the air bag computer anyway
1:15:28
to cut to the chase he says this is all
1:15:30
about the change in the 2020 2021 smog
1:15:33
machines though the new smog machines
1:15:36
requires that all Auto computers remain
1:15:39
untouched unlike today where aftermarket
1:15:43
products existed tuned enhanced the
1:15:45
operation of a vehicle for timing and
1:15:47
fuel delivery and other exposed and
1:15:50
defined parameters soon you will not be
1:15:53
able to pass aftermarket products that
1:15:56
you not be able to pass smog if any of
1:15:58
these computers have been modified in
1:16:00
any way and they send the send key
1:16:04
proceed key to CCD yes seed key index
1:16:10
algorithm protecting them today are
1:16:12
being switched to rolling rainbow
1:16:14
encryption is like that oh I got to
1:16:17
write that down
1:16:18
rolling rainbow the hell is that is
1:16:21
we'll find out is likely soon you will
1:16:23
be issued a ticket based on your
1:16:25
decision to to speed four months ago in
1:16:28
a Sunday morning
1:16:29
however that does not exist today with
1:16:31
today's vehicles well you will that's
1:16:34
what the point is which we've been
1:16:35
predicting it's obvious that's what you
1:16:36
want to do yeah of course but I do what
1:16:39
it's not answered in this note is the
1:16:44
question of so I have a 25 year old
1:16:48
Lexus and is it if I swap out the
1:16:54
computer which would give I can get lots
1:16:56
of horsepower out of this car and does
1:17:01
it apply to old computers that have been
1:17:03
switched out or just the new ones after
1:17:05
the 2020 model or no it's not a not a
1:17:09
good note from an epoch you when you
1:17:11
when you drive in that in that Lexus all
1:17:14
people do is look and salute you they
1:17:20
don't care they're like look at that old
1:17:21
guy do you remember when you grow up
1:17:23
you're sorry oh look at that guy in a
1:17:24
model for the Model T or Model A wow
1:17:27
that's so cool that's who you are now
1:17:29
yeah it just doesn't look the car just
1:17:32
it looks different yeah it looks kind of
1:17:34
gross but the car is still collectible
1:17:36
by the community at large
1:17:38
still offer to buy it constantly
1:17:41
shout out to my smokin hot wife Big C as
1:17:44
we celebrate 11 years on Friday May 3rd
1:17:46
nice please some house buying karma best
1:17:49

1:17:52
much for your support of the program and
1:17:55

1:17:58

1:18:01

1:18:29

1:18:31
grouse about my birthday being hijacked
1:18:33
by the Mexican liquor cartel as I have
1:18:36
in the past I will change my title from
1:18:39
Sir James of the mountains to dude I
1:18:42
don't know if he's if this is if you
1:18:44
serious about this juster saenko DeMaio
1:18:47
having passed baronet level some time
1:18:49
ago hmm well I think I think it's on the
1:18:52
official list I see we had a title
1:18:55
change we can do that no no no I guess
1:19:00
he's just throwing it in for for fun we
1:19:03
okay if you give us a confirmation on
1:19:05
this change then we'll do that yes we'll
1:19:07
do it later we're not gonna do it just
1:19:09
when it sounds like a joke right
1:19:13
jingles sir Christus to channel lose
1:19:16
goat Karma please oh geez lose to
1:19:21
channel I don't know what that means but
1:19:23
we'll give it a shot
1:19:25
you've got alright thank you very much
1:19:35
that's great forgotten that one you
1:19:36
forget to forget what people make
1:19:38
somebody good jingles good stuff and
1:19:40
that was it though sadly yeah that was
1:19:42
it for a show 11:35 want to thank these
1:19:45
folks for producing the show and we'll
1:19:47
we have more producers in general listed
1:19:50
later yeah we do $50.00 and above in our
1:19:52
second segment these are very valuable
1:19:53
credits they're just like Hollywood you
1:19:55
recognize it executive producer
1:19:57
associate executive producer they work
1:20:00
they work where people understand where

our formula is this we go out here
1:20:25
people in the mouth
1:20:27
[Applause]
1:20:34
[Music]
1:20:37
[Applause]
1:20:41
different font different pharma news a
1:20:47
very interesting case that is taking
1:20:51
place in particular because it is a
1:20:54
criminal case against a CEO and an
1:20:57
entire pharmaceutical corporation a
1:21:00
couple of clips I'd like to share this
1:21:02
is the background of it is on MP yeah
1:21:04
prosecutors laid out what they say was a
1:21:07
nationwide scheme - are they hiring
1:21:10
people on voice anymore on NPR are they
1:21:12
just hiring anybody I don't know the
1:21:16
prosecutors laid out what they say was a
1:21:19
nationwide scheme to boost sales of this
1:21:22
opioid painkiller and you can think
1:21:25
about it in three different steps the
1:21:26
first thing they did was they targeted
1:21:29
doctors who were known to over prescribe
1:21:31
opioids the head of sales somebody over
1:21:34
what over prescribe opioids did she say
1:21:38
the word prescriber I love this the
1:21:41
first thing they did was they targeted
1:21:44
doctors who were known to over prescribe
1:21:46
opioids over prescribed I could sounds
1:21:50
like over beside okay well it's over
1:21:53
prescribe the head of sales somebody who
1:21:55
pleaded guilty and testified for the
1:21:57
prosecution said the company ran toward
1:22:02
pill mills not away from them to insist
1:22:04
therapeutics he said pill mills meant
1:22:06
dollar signs the next thing they did was
1:22:09
as he said they bribed doctors to write
1:22:11
prescriptions that often meant that
1:22:13
people were being prescribed really high
1:22:16
opioids and these people these patients
1:22:18
didn't necessarily need it they set up a
1:22:20
sham speakers program where doctors were
1:22:23
paid not to give lectures but to write
1:22:25
prescriptions and then the last thing
1:22:27
they did was they set up a whole call
1:22:29
center where incest employees deceived
1:22:32
insurance companies saying whatever was
1:22:34
necessary to get their expensive
1:22:35
medication covered that includes
1:22:37
fabricating cancer diagnosis so this is
1:22:41
a spray the spray fentanyl yeah and this
1:22:47
this to the note No Agenda producers
1:22:49
were being around like okay we know
1:22:51
exactly how this works they
1:22:53
they bribe the doctors they give him
1:22:54
speaking fees for things they don't have
1:22:56
to speak at they give him hookers
1:22:57
they've taken it to a whole new level in
1:22:59
this case throughout the trial the
1:23:01
prosecutors basically depicted a company
1:23:03
that was corrupt
1:23:04
through and through for example in says
1:23:07
sales reps received higher bonuses when
1:23:10
they convinced doctors to write
1:23:12
prescriptions in higher doses the idea
1:23:15
was get patients hooked and kind of keep
1:23:17
them coming back for more they even made
1:23:20
a music video that was shown during the
1:23:22
trial about this here's a clip I watched
1:23:31
the whole video I put a link in the show
1:23:33
notes once your white guide douchebags
1:23:36
doing a hip-hop video about drugging up
1:23:39
people is to dynamite that is that is
1:23:41
incredible
1:23:42
clearly the links that they were willing
1:23:44
to go to to do this yeah and things got
1:23:47
even crazier they they hired a former
1:23:51
exotic dancer to be part of their sales
1:23:53
team she's actually one of the
1:23:54
defendants who has found guilty
1:23:56
yesterday in the trial she was found
1:24:06
guilty yesterday in the trial she if she
1:24:09
gave a lap dance to a doctor to try and
1:24:11
convince him to prescribe their opioid
1:24:13
medication first she does that whole wow
1:24:18
thing and then I didn't that work at the
1:24:26
very end she doesn't know that she's
1:24:27
actually one of the defendants who was
1:24:29
found guilty yesterday in the trial and
1:24:31
she if she gave a lap dance to a doctor
1:24:34
to try and convince him to prescribe
1:24:35
their opioid medication oh my oh my
1:24:39
they're so shocked about this this has
1:24:42
been going on for a long time and
1:24:45
interestingly well I'll get to that in a
1:24:49
second here's the last the last clip
1:24:51
because this is a criminal trial that's
1:24:53
what's great and new about this this is
1:24:55
a criminal case not a civil case often
1:24:58
you see pharmaceutical companies getting
1:25:00
in trouble in civil cases that means big
1:25:02
fines but this criminal case means
1:25:06
prison time these executives are facing
1:25:09
up to two decades behind bars the other
1:25:13
thing to note here is that they were
1:25:14
charged with racketeering conspiracy
1:25:16
that means this crime these crimes were
1:25:20
systemic they were conspiring this was
1:25:22
not just a few bad actors racketeering
1:25:25
was originally designed to go after
1:25:27
organized crime
1:25:28
the prosecutors are essentially saying
1:25:30
this these pharmaceutical executives
1:25:32
were like drug lords this kind of
1:25:34
represents an aggressive strategy by the
1:25:36
federal government to go after
1:25:37
pharmaceutical companies for their role
1:25:39
in fueling the opioid epidemic and
1:25:41
experts say that this is likely the
1:25:44
beginning of a trend and that this case
1:25:46
could be a blueprint for future
1:25:48
prosecutions yeah baby
1:25:51
I had a clip I had this clip from let me
1:25:58
have to do a search they just got
1:26:00
overlooked but it was done on I had a
1:26:02
Amy's version of this when it first
1:26:04
started off I think it's look if you do
1:26:07
this search drug drug lords Democracy
1:26:10
Now Deann at the end you might find I
1:26:13
just can't find in my old lists yes
1:26:16
white collar drug lord does that sound
1:26:18
about right that's the same story this
1:26:20
is when it first began and it might be
1:26:23
worth playing as a adjunct to what you
1:26:25
just played in New York City federal
1:26:27
prosecutors announced criminal charges
1:26:29
that Gurley we just heard is gonna grow
1:26:31
up to be Amy
1:26:32
you know how that voice went possibility
1:26:35
I wonder what you yes about do they
1:26:38
check fun I think that they probably got
1:26:40
her she's a professional voice person
1:26:42
you know sex chat line probably just
1:26:47
listen a little bit to her in New York
1:26:50
City federal prosecutors announced
1:26:52
criminal charges Tuesday Joseph
1:26:57
Rochester drug co-operative a major
1:26:59
producer of opioids charging them with a
1:27:01
conspiracy to profit by illegally
1:27:03
distributing controlled substances
1:27:05
this is Jeffrey Berman US Attorney for
1:27:07
the Southern District of New York RTC's
1:27:09
former CEO Lawrence style is in custody
1:27:13
and will be presented to a judge in the
1:27:16
Southern District of New York this
1:27:17
afternoon
1:27:18
Daud is charged with conspiring to
1:27:22
distribute oxycodone and fentanyl this
1:27:25
isn't this is a different guy they're
1:27:28
not talking about this case are they I
1:27:30
don't know I mean I'm wondering it's not
1:27:33
know cuz this sounds different this is
1:27:34
not the CEO the CEO now if you're a
1:27:36
different good different group of people
1:27:37
than me but this is the same thing
1:27:39
criminal huh I don't know conspiring to
1:27:43
defraud the DEA valve lead RDC during
1:27:47
the entire period of the charge
1:27:49
conspiracy and as alleged personally
1:27:52
directed and profited from much of its
1:27:55
criminal activity the company's chief
1:27:57
compliance officer also faces criminal
1:27:59
charges both executives face possible
1:28:01
life in prison yeah it's about time we
1:28:04
throw some people in jail but it's it's
1:28:06
kind of baffling to me because you've
1:28:09
got these stories like oh my god what's
1:28:11
going on look at the corruption just to
1:28:13
give them more medication that they
1:28:15
didn't need but meanwhile no one seems
1:28:17
to connect the dots to oh I don't know
1:28:20
the MMR vaccination everyone all of our
1:28:31
producers chipped in got some good stuff
1:28:34
to work with let's get an update on the
1:28:36
measles outbreak from Fox and Friends
1:28:38
[Music]
1:28:40
Health Alert for you now hundreds of
1:28:42
passengers quarantined on a cruise ship
1:28:44
due to a measles outbreak
1:28:46
health officials docking the ship
1:28:48
believed to be used by the Church of
1:28:49
Scientology in st. Lucia the infected
1:28:52
crew member is in isolation we're told
1:28:54
the ship is such a depart today back on
1:28:56
land in the meantime a woman with
1:28:58
measles attended a packed California
1:29:00
movie theater to see Avengers endgame
1:29:03
officials now warning other moviegoers
1:29:06
may have been exposed there are now 740
1:29:10
cases nationwide Merkin company says
1:29:12
that they have increased production of
1:29:14
the vaccine they are the only supplier
1:29:16
of the measles vaccine in the u.s. oh
1:29:19
yeah this is so good so they have a
1:29:24
number of quick little ditties here
1:29:26
we're going back to NPR to understand
1:29:30
about the MMR again we just went through
1:29:35
this and we have trials going on
1:29:37
criminal trials of pharmaceutical
1:29:40
companies & executives pushing shit on
1:29:42
people that they didn't need it was too
1:29:45
much of it over prescribing yet complete
1:29:49
silence on this and I actually have some
1:29:51
stats here because we got a lot of a lot
1:29:54
of people in that in the healthcare
1:29:55
industry
1:29:57
telling us what's going on you know the
1:29:59
just to give you an idea the measles
1:30:01
outbreak which interestingly in 2014
1:30:06
ophthalmologist in California were able
1:30:11
to become licensed to handout to
1:30:14
vaccinate people so you can go to your
1:30:16
local ophthalmologist and so the
1:30:18
opthamologist published a couple things
1:30:21
in conjunction with the CDC and right
1:30:23
now we have the 704 cases were tripping
1:30:27
out but in 2014 it was 667 it's not like
1:30:31
you know wow what happened how did that
1:30:34
happen in these in in in five short
1:30:37
years you know and gee it's all the way
1:30:39
up to 700 it's a it's not even it's not
1:30:41
even a hundred more than what it was but
1:30:44
okay we're all supposed to be afraid in
1:30:46
npr's participating beautifully and I
1:30:48
have to say every time I hear another
1:30:50
story about another piece of this
1:30:53
measles outbreak
1:30:54
I wonder about all of the people in this
1:30:57
country who may have been vaccinated so
1:30:59
long ago that they don't even know what
1:31:02
the status of their own vaccination is I
1:31:04
have to say I texted my mom and said by
1:31:06
the way we were vaccinated for measles
1:31:08
weren't we and she said yes yes you were
1:31:10
but at what point do kids get vaccinated
1:31:13
for this and and how long does the
1:31:15
vaccination last well children start to
1:31:19
be vaccinated either at 12 or 15 months
1:31:22
of age and then they get a second dose
1:31:25
usually at age four five or six
1:31:28
somewhere in there
1:31:29
fortunately the protection from the
1:31:32
vaccine is life long for 97% of us so
1:31:37
that's really an excellent vaccine so
1:31:40
there's no booster shot needed as an
1:31:42
adult
1:31:43
there's no booster shot needed for an
1:31:45
adult now that said if you're an adult
1:31:49
who was vaccinated before 1989 and
1:31:52
you're going to an area of the world
1:31:54
where there's ongoing measles
1:31:56
transmission you might want to review
1:31:59
your status to make sure you got
1:32:02
vaccinated and if there's any insecurity
1:32:05
just get another dose of NMR that's my
1:32:12
favorite thing to get three shots it's
1:32:17
not gonna kill you worry about if you
1:32:21
have come in contact with someone who
1:32:23
has measles but you yourself are
1:32:25
vaccinated can you pass me zl-- on to a
1:32:28
third person no you will not because
1:32:32
your protection will prevent that from
1:32:34
happening so you're not only protecting
1:32:38
yourself you're protecting people around
1:32:41
you because you will not be a
1:32:43
transmitter what do you think needs to
1:32:46
happen right now dr. Schaffner to get
1:32:48
this measles outbreak under control and
1:32:50
make sure that next week in the week
1:32:52
after that and the week after that we're
1:32:54
not hearing story after story about a
1:32:57
new outbreak somewhere else in the world
1:32:59
you've just heard me sigh because every
1:33:03
child that
1:33:05
is unvaccinated if they were vaccinated
1:33:08
today this problem would end completely
1:33:13
in two weeks the issue really is unjaded
1:33:18
children uh-huh
1:33:19
we need to extend the protection of the
1:33:22
vaccine to all of those children and we
1:33:26
can once again eliminate measles from
1:33:29
the United States that's right they're
1:33:35
coming for your kids this is what they
1:33:37
let me read a note from one of our
1:33:39
producers Mike
1:33:40
longtime listener wanted to say thanks
1:33:42
for having a positive effect on my
1:33:44
family regarding vaccines and for
1:33:45
brining you back up for the importance
1:33:47
of your reporting we're not anti-vaxxers
1:33:49
but have learned to question thanks our
1:33:52
state Virginia required papers
1:33:55
quote-unquote showing double vaccination
1:33:58
for MMR before admittance to school our
1:34:03
kids were vaccinated once we asked for a
1:34:07
lab test instead of double vaccination
1:34:10
and were threatened with the $300 fee
1:34:13
for each child mm-hmm but in but
1:34:16
insisted anyway kids were shown to be
1:34:20
fully immune by the lab tests and issued
1:34:23
the proper going on quote papers and the
1:34:26
insurance pay for the tests thank you
1:34:29
for your courage Mike it's interesting I
1:34:31
got one from Jim I recently took a job
1:34:35
that requires me to have a series of
1:34:36
vaccines or prove that I had these
1:34:38
vaccines it is in the healthcare
1:34:39
industry but in my position I would
1:34:40
likely never face a customer still I
1:34:43
must have MMRDA a Tdap TD aap and
1:34:46
varicella any records of my vaccines as
1:34:49
a child are long gone I either had to
1:34:51
take the vaccines or prove my immunity
1:34:53
which is called a titer test is that t
1:34:55
ITER titter titer
1:34:57
tightness this test can prove immunity
1:35:00
or may show that you do not have
1:35:01
immunity and you had to take the
1:35:03
vaccines my insurance did not pay for
1:35:05
the test but it did pay for the vaccines
1:35:07
I elected to get the vaccines
1:35:10
nice knowing you Jim
1:35:14
distilled water when rev morgen when
1:35:20
Obamacare first came through a real time
1:35:22
of healthcare upheaval the local
1:35:24
hospital was insisting pastors get flu
1:35:27
shots and some of these and some type of
1:35:30
physical to visit the hospital they did
1:35:32
a blood test and looked at my antibodies
1:35:34
they insisted I get a new MMR since mine
1:35:36
was from 1970 three years later I'm
1:35:39
upset about taking it I'm not an
1:35:41
anti-vaxxer but now I think some of this
1:35:43
is overboard and a money grab you think
1:35:46
they do already want the requirement you
1:35:48
predicted on the last show the vaccine
1:35:50
requirement has kind of fallen away
1:35:51
though well but let's listen to the
1:35:56
propaganda of this and again it's you
1:35:59
know it's the it's the measles this keep
1:36:03
it within perspective people but how
1:36:06
about Stephen Colbert he's got a whole
1:36:07
new take on this but let's get away for
1:36:09
a moment from our political crisis to
1:36:13
focus instead on the cheering news of
1:36:15
our public health crisis the CDC reports
1:36:18
that more than 700 people have been
1:36:21
infected by measles this year marking a
1:36:23
25 year high for the infectious disease
1:36:26
ignoring the 2014 almost 700 but okay
1:36:30
because people aren't vaccinating
1:36:32
against it what is wrong with you as the
1:36:35
son of an immunologist this might be the
1:36:39
scariest
1:36:40
I have ever heard really man the
1:36:45
scariest I mean scarier than Trump
1:36:48
[Applause]
1:36:57
people have decided they're not sure if
1:37:00
they want to be immune from disease your
1:37:03
ancestors are saying I would trade
1:37:05
places with you but I died of measles
1:37:09
now the roots of the anti-vaccine
1:37:11
nonsense might be a little more complex
1:37:13
and nefarious than you'd think because
1:37:15
nowhere do you think he's going with
1:37:17
this if you have if you've seen it don't
1:37:19
don't but if you if I didn't see it
1:37:21
where do you think he's going well do
1:37:23
the intro give me the intro again - they
1:37:25
give me the premise again and then I'll
1:37:27
just make it yes but trade places with
1:37:29
you but I died of measles now the roots
1:37:34
of the anti vaccine on cents might be a
1:37:36
little more complex and nefarious than
1:37:38
you'd think because it turns out ok as
1:37:41
it what as it turns out what oh the
1:37:45
roots well it has to be maybe there's
1:37:47
some jab or needling Jenny McCarthy or
1:37:50
it's better than that better than that
1:37:53
oh yeah it's a go - it's a classic gotta
1:37:55
be a Trump thing then yeah in a way here
1:38:00
we go or complex and nefarious than
1:38:01
you'd think because it turns out Russian
1:38:04
trolls promoted anti vaccination
1:38:07
propaganda that may have paused measles
1:38:10
outbreak are you telling me that Russian
1:38:13
trolls help promote a devastating
1:38:15
disease that could weaken our nation and
1:38:18
now measles
1:38:20
[Applause]
1:38:27
[Applause]
1:38:30
even more alarming these trolls were
1:38:33
tweeting about both sides of the vaccine
1:38:35
debate and getting into an argument with
1:38:36
themselves because Russia doesn't care
1:38:38
if we're vaccinated or not according to
1:38:41
this report it is after a far bigger
1:38:43
prize the exacerbation of America's
1:38:45
distrust of one another and in turn the
1:38:48
erosion of their confidence in society
1:38:51
Russia you don't have to erode our
1:38:53
confidence in society Twitter does that
1:38:56
all on its own just let it ride we came
1:38:59
up with the tide pond challenge all by
1:39:01
ourselves but he's serious about that
1:39:05
about this this Russian this Russian is
1:39:08
a real story
1:39:09
yeah the Russians imagine 700 people got
1:39:12
what it was the Russians involved in
1:39:15
2014 - when there were 700 they must
1:39:17
have put them there must have been
1:39:18
involved
1:39:18
those damn Russians damn Russians man
1:39:20
they've been in it for five years
1:39:24
cases have been surging in that is a
1:39:26
25-year five are you sure it's the
1:39:29
measles
1:39:31
can't do any kind of vaccination story
1:39:34
without the latest update on the
1:39:36
Democratic Republic of Congo we've upped
1:39:38
the ante now on the Ebola outbreak am
1:39:42
just waiting for us to send some troops
1:39:45
Ebola always brings the military more
1:39:48
than 1500 people in the Democratic
1:39:52
Republic of Congo have contracted Ebola
1:39:54
since the outbreak was declared nine
1:39:57
months ago and the rate of infection is
1:39:59
accelerating dr. Ted Ross and dr.
1:40:03
Moretti our Regional Director have
1:40:05
recently returned from from the
1:40:08
Democratic Republic of Congo where they
1:40:11
found the situation on the ground
1:40:14
to be worse than it has been previously
1:40:20
it's not just a virus that health care
1:40:22
workers are battling efforts to control
1:40:25
the bola are hampered by violent attacks
1:40:27
insecurity has become a major impediment
1:40:30
to ensuring that we can access engage
1:40:33
with and serve the communities we wish
1:40:35
to serve an Ebola control since January
1:40:38
we've experienced 119 separate attacks
1:40:43
42 directly on health facilities with 85
1:40:48
health personnel either injured or
1:40:50
killed in those settings so we are
1:40:55
dealing with difficult volatile
1:40:58
situation a funeral was held on Thursday
1:41:00
for epidemiologist Richard mizuka who
1:41:03
was shot dead by militia who reportedly
1:41:06
shouted Ebola doesn't exist that's why
1:41:12
they keep setting the the the treatment
1:41:14
centers on fire they think that all
1:41:16
they're doing is injecting the
1:41:18
population with shit that is just going
1:41:20
to do something bad to them they're not
1:41:24
buying it they don't buy it noticed in
1:41:28
their dial of Ebola well there's an also
1:41:32
a good connection between both Ebola and
1:41:34
measles with the thing that nobody's
1:41:38
reporting on to any extreme which they
1:41:40
should be which is
1:41:43
African swine fever yes yeah this is a
1:41:47
pig pig Ebola pig Ebola what is it man
1:41:51
this is yeah this is wiping out pigs
1:41:56
everywhere now that it got I have a clip
1:42:00
this is a lecture from Christopher hora
1:42:02
in 2015 this is not a new disease by the
1:42:07
way if anybody thinks it might be made
1:42:09
it for Dietrich or anything it's the
1:42:11
same thing as swine flu or is this
1:42:12
different there's no compare there's not
1:42:14
swine flu it's not swine fever it's
1:42:16
African swine fever is a very specific
1:42:19
disease and it is a hundred percent
1:42:22
fatal it spreads like wildfire it will
1:42:27
spread from a ham sandwich from a ham
1:42:37
sandwich a dead sliced up pig cooked and
1:42:42
salted no yes Wow and what happens is
1:42:49
that it doesn't affect humans and people
1:42:52
my wife is all bent out of shape but
1:42:53
this all was a duck get since China
1:42:55
ducks gonna sneeze and they're gonna
1:42:57
we're just gonna know this has been
1:42:59
around this has been a serious problem
1:43:01
in parts of the world since the 1900s
1:43:04
but it's never gotten it's never gotten
1:43:08
into Europe which it now has has never
1:43:10
gotten into Russia which it now has and
1:43:12
it never got into China which is it's
1:43:16
spread throughout China almost instantly
1:43:18
well hello the Chinese are all over
1:43:20
Africa they're bringing it back that's
1:43:22
the problem with the problem is is that
1:43:24
this they didn't take it's not here yet
1:43:27
but I bet you it'll get here even though
1:43:30
apparently our people are doing a very
1:43:32
good job of keeping contaminated ham
1:43:34
sandwiches out of the country now we're
1:43:37
going to learn a lot and catch up with
1:43:39
this before it hits the real news cycle
1:43:41
by listening to this night 2015 lecture
1:43:44
which really explains a lot about this
1:43:46
horrible problem disease and I have some
1:43:50
thoughts on why it went got to China and
1:43:55
went passed around so quickly but let's
1:43:57
to this I wanted to emphasize why we do
1:44:00
need to worry about African swine fever
1:44:02
virus in the Caribbean region it is
1:44:05
spreading around the world as we speak
1:44:07
at the moment in new areas it's already
1:44:12
wreaked havoc in the Caribbean regions
1:44:14
and our colleagues from certain
1:44:16
Caribbean countries in the north may
1:44:18
remember this virus when it decimated
1:44:21
their pig industries in the Caribbean
1:44:23
it's a really tough and resistant virus
1:44:26
so when you get it it's extremely
1:44:28
difficult to get rid of and in the
1:44:31
Caribbean we have many people coming
1:44:33
from Africa over to the Caribbean and
1:44:37
we've seen the virus being transported
1:44:39
in pig products in dare I say sandwiches
1:44:43
in pork it sticks around and survives
1:44:46
for very very long periods of times even
1:44:48
in processed or salted or cured meats so
1:44:53
it's a real risk to us African swine
1:44:56
fever virus is very similar in a lot of
1:44:58
ways to classical swine fever virus and
1:45:00
you can't tell the difference but there
1:45:01
are there are subtle differences as with
1:45:05
a classical swine fever virus it's a
1:45:07
hemorrhagic fever however most of
1:45:09
African swine fever virus is out there
1:45:11
caused a 100% mortality we call it the
1:45:15
Ebola virus of pigs because it
1:45:17
disintegrates the inside of pigs like
1:45:20
Ebola does to the people that get it and
1:45:23
they bleed out it has natural reservoir
1:45:27
hosts especially in Africa warthogs bush
1:45:30
pigs are the natural reservoirs hosts
1:45:34
and here you can see a warthog here in
1:45:36
Africa but it's also soft ticks or Nyssa
1:45:38
Dora's ticks and we do have species of
1:45:41
soft ticks that are capable of
1:45:43
transmitting African swine through the
1:45:45
virus in the Caribbean region where is
1:45:48
it at the moment
1:45:49
I'll have another quick slide on this
1:45:50
but it's endemic in many African
1:45:52
countries it's been endemic in Sardinia
1:45:54
or a little island in Europe for 35
1:45:57
years the European Union has thrown
1:46:00
everything at it and it can't get rid of
1:46:03
it in Sardinia but really this is the
1:46:06
this is the thing at the moment is it's
1:46:08
now in a large area and I'll explain to
1:46:11
you
1:46:11
in Russia and it's in the European Union
1:46:14
and it's spreading as I said it's
1:46:16
invaded the Caribbean our colleagues in
1:46:19
Cuba Haiti and Dominican Republic will
1:46:21
know about it and critically there is no
1:46:24
vaccine so there is nothing you can do
1:46:26
about it as regards vaccination that's
1:46:28
what makes it so dangerous such a nasty
1:46:30
disease potentially threatening the pig
1:46:33
industries around the world I think it's
1:46:36
the biggest veterinary threat at the
1:46:38
moment I would say that but I think it's
1:46:40
the biggest veterinary threat to
1:46:42
livestock industries around the world
1:46:44
you don't know how many pigs there are
1:46:46
in China but if it goes to China it is
1:46:49
gonna be a disaster I have a couple
1:46:53
questions before we get your thoughts
1:46:54
one so this cannot this does nothing to
1:46:58
humans you you it's only for pigs they
1:47:01
cannot morph it there's no example of
1:47:03
that it's just a just kills pigs well
1:47:06
it's been around since the 1700s when it
1:47:09
was first traced and it has yet to go to
1:47:11
humans and it seems unlikely that it
1:47:13
will endow but ago the Chinese practices
1:47:16
you never know well and so the next
1:47:18
question is you said it can even be
1:47:20
transmitted through a ham sandwich
1:47:22
which he just said - yeah do pigs eat
1:47:26
ham sandwiches do they eat themselves do
1:47:29
they eat him yeah okay and can you get
1:47:32
it as a ham radio operator that was the
1:47:34
most important question well this could
1:47:41
also be economic I mean what if this
1:47:43
could be warfare pigs I was thinking
1:47:47
about this because there was when I
1:47:50
started researching this I heard for
1:47:52
example the whole pig phenomenon eating
1:47:54
pigs at least in the West
1:47:56
not so much in China stems from a
1:47:59
another disease which is called this is
1:48:03
kind of interesting which was a whore
1:48:05
which was a cattle disease called the
1:48:07
rinderpest ooh and rinderpest wiped out
1:48:11
a lot of the livestock beef like and it
1:48:16
was just pretty solid here the
1:48:19
rinderpest wiped out a lot of the
1:48:22
livestock around it they like the years
1:48:24
1,000 1,200 and like that and the kicker
1:48:28
here is the measles virus emerged from
1:48:32
rinderpest as so as a disease between
1:48:36
1000 and 1100 AD a period that may have
1:48:40
been preceded by limited outbreaks
1:48:42
involving a virus not let yet fully a
1:48:45
climate into humans
1:48:46
so this rinderpest like wiped out the
1:48:48
herds of cattle and so they started in
1:48:52
using pigs and they brought pigs and
1:48:54
another hears cows dead rinderpest in
1:48:58
South Africa in the late 1800s the cows
1:49:01
were getting wiped out by this and they
1:49:03
finally got a vaccination for it it got
1:49:05
eradicated around 20 2001 or something's
1:49:09
fairly recent and then the pig thing
1:49:12
started showing up and so even this
1:49:15
deadly rinderpest when it morphed to a
1:49:18
human ailment it was measles it wasn't
1:49:21
like something killing people hmm and I
1:49:24
thought that was a weird connection
1:49:25
because now African swine fever is in
1:49:29
fact our breathing this if you read that
1:49:32
China calls you here China colors I got
1:49:35
one article China calls 200,000 pigs and
1:49:37
then you you read on another group 200
1:49:41
they have called millions of pigs and
1:49:44
they do it by burning him alive and it's
1:49:47
just a horrible situation and so I was
1:49:49
thinking this is a it turns out that
1:49:52
rinderpest was was actually run as a
1:49:58
chemical biological warfare idea in
1:50:02
World War one in World War two and so it
1:50:05
was gonna be it could have been used as
1:50:06
an agent but they tend not to use these
1:50:08
types of things as a mechanism of war
1:50:11
because it backfires and kills all your
1:50:13
things do well I haven't last paragraph
1:50:18
from an article from Bloomberg about
1:50:20
this the epidemic could have political
1:50:21
repercussions as well Zhi Jing ping may
1:50:25
want to finalize trade negotiations with
1:50:27
the United States president to both ease
1:50:29
the importation of much-needed pork
1:50:32
poultry and beef supplies and to enable
1:50:34
Chinese lawmakers to focus solely on
1:50:36
quelling
1:50:37
outbreaks this is this this is a big
1:50:41
deal and this could cause a revolution
1:50:43
in China Chinese cuisine is 50%
1:50:46
dependent on pork
1:50:47
they make me end it once that I saw was
1:50:50
that if every pork producer in the world
1:50:54
sent all their pork to China it wouldn't
1:50:58
fill the need the Chinese growth that
1:51:01
many pigs Wow
1:51:03
and so it's just a spit in the bucket to
1:51:06
send them pork and there is a as a
1:51:08
tariff on it that they have to reduce
1:51:09
the tariff to get the pork and it could
1:51:11
cause civil unrest and so the first
1:51:13
thing you think of well maybe this is
1:51:14
like some sort of a scheme that you know
1:51:17
a form of warfare which is not I don't
1:51:20
believe would be done because if it was
1:51:22
ever if it ever got out dangerous move
1:51:24
this stunt because what what would we do
1:51:27
without bacon America would freak out
1:51:30
well there's that the stuff that this
1:51:33
disease is gonna get here and it is
1:51:35
gonna affect bacon and so but I'm
1:51:38
thinking who would be who would benefit
1:51:41
the most from killing off all their
1:51:43
having all the pigs dying and ending the
1:51:45
whole pig business PETA they don't care
1:51:54
about the death of these pigs hmm they
1:51:57
don't want people eating meat right so
1:52:01
if you're floating around and this stuff
1:52:02
is available on a ham sandwich yes your
1:52:06
tourists in China and you see the pig
1:52:08
farms and you just throw a ham sandwich
1:52:10
or you throw something over the over the
1:52:12
fence boom that whole herd is wiped out
1:52:15
within well that would be rather in four
1:52:18
days by the way the pigs die in four
1:52:20
days once they get this disease this
1:52:22
stuff's gotta morph over to humans that
1:52:24
would be so cool it wouldn't be cool
1:52:26
wipe out everybody yeah well or they
1:52:29
would become a measles and it wouldn't
1:52:31
be that big of a deal it's just not the
1:52:32
kind of thing that morphs over mm-hmm
1:52:34
yeah it's to been around too long but
1:52:37
it's now out of control and it's gonna
1:52:40
wipe out we have to rethink our Pig our
1:52:44
Pig strategy pig stretch it's just like
1:52:48
I don't know this is the end of the pig
1:52:51
and it's the year of the pig poo in it
1:52:53
is the end the end of the pig end of the
1:52:59
pig that's a good time that isn't that's
1:53:03
not bad
1:53:04
not bad wow thanks for the illumination
1:53:07
on that it's gonna become big news right
1:53:11
now you know then this is like I gave
1:53:13
the lecture or played the lecture from
1:53:15
2015 and it's not this has been bubbling
1:53:19
underneath their news media so
1:53:23
preoccupied with what's wrong far from
1:53:25
Mueller they're not telling us anything
1:53:27
like this this is a horrible situation
1:53:29
it could cause civil unrest and in China
1:53:32
to an extreme it could cause the
1:53:34
collapse of the Chinese government it
1:53:36
could cause the stock market to collapse
1:53:38
this has ramifications that are out of
1:53:41
control
1:53:41
and yet rude the reports are sketchy
1:53:45
care about okay about anything else but
1:53:49
Muller yeah Muller oh I do have
1:53:51
interesting news do you recall on the
1:53:54
day that the carbon tax was implemented
1:53:58
in Canada for our friends and we're
1:54:03
sorry for their challenge the canady as
1:54:09
Canada is warming up twice as fast as
1:54:12
the rest of the world yeah I don't know
1:54:14
how that works and global warming should
1:54:18
be like you know it's not it's not like
1:54:20
a ray beam that's aimed at Canada well
1:54:24
one of our producers sent me a note and
1:54:26
said hey have you ever done a search on
1:54:32
being have you ever been twice as fast
1:54:35
as the rest of the world and removed
1:54:37
Canada from the results so remember the
1:54:40
claim was Canada is warming up twice as
1:54:44
fast as the rest of the world doing this
1:54:47
search and these are all recent search
1:54:49
search results I shall read to you some
1:54:51
of the results the Arctic is warming up
1:54:54
twice as fast of the rest of the world
1:54:56
why Singapore is heating up twice as
1:54:58
fast of the rest of the rest of the
1:55:00
world
1:55:01
China is heating up twice as fast
1:55:03
the rest of the world mountains are
1:55:05
warming twice as fast of the rest of the
1:55:07
world are you getting the the getting it
1:55:12
now people are you're understanding how
1:55:13
it works it's humble
1:55:17
yeah that's a good one by the way I'll
1:55:19
give you I'll give you a ten on that
1:55:20
well yeah I do have a I was watching a
1:55:24
global warming lecture mm-hm I don't
1:55:27
have the guy's name doing it but he had
1:55:29
some some Jim Hanson you know the guy
1:55:31
who's really behind the whole global
1:55:33
warming fear uh Jim Hanson he's got a
1:55:37
Jim Hanson anecdote here Jim Hanson not
1:55:39
the guy from the Muppets Jim Hanson no
1:55:42
that's Jim hints oh okay thank you got
1:55:44
it so let's hear what he has to say this
1:55:48
is Jim Hanson Oh Jim Hanson by the way
1:55:50
if we go back in 1988 he was asked by a
1:55:55
reporter how do you see things in 40
1:55:58
years and he says well you see the
1:55:59
highway down here there was that highway
1:56:01
outside of his office it's not gonna be
1:56:02
there anymore based on a doubling of co2
1:56:07
from pre-industrial times well right now
1:56:10
we've gone 25 years into this 40 years
1:56:15
we've had one inch of sea-level rise
1:56:17
there are 10 feet to go for him to make
1:56:20
his prediction and it's got to happen
1:56:22
within the next 15 years you take a look
1:56:25
at the NSC this is Jim Hansen's slide
1:56:31
where he decided realizing a sea level
1:56:34
was not rising she said it's really
1:56:37
gonna be exponential so by the
1:56:39
mid-century really isn't gonna rise at
1:56:42
all you won't even be alive here neither
1:56:43
will I and yet we're gonna get four four
1:56:46
meters of rise neces meters now feet in
1:56:50
the last 20 years of the century don't
1:56:54
hold your breath on this one either
1:56:56
how's the mudflats
1:56:59
my flats they're intact there hasn't
1:57:01
been either diving an inch of sea level
1:57:03
rise as far as I can tell but ya know
1:57:07
the hands so handsome so they what they
1:57:09
do is they change you know instead of
1:57:11
having a linear or graph course and make
1:57:13
they put it into some sort of geometric
1:57:15
thing so yeah it's not gonna rise right
1:57:17
now there's gonna go crazy the old
1:57:19
hockey stick right I've been reading
1:57:23
Theodore Kozinski's anti-tech Revolution
1:57:26
book which I think was published in I
1:57:29
want to say 2015 think and he goes quite
1:57:35
quite a bit into the the global warming
1:57:38
thing although he's not a you know he
1:57:39
says hide biosphere sure warm cool etc
1:57:42
he says that this will all lead to
1:57:45
geoengineering and this is a guy who's
1:57:47
been in jail for what 30 years said it's
1:57:50
all gonna lead to geoengineering which
1:57:52
in turn will then cause the heat to be
1:57:56
trapped and all the oceans will actually
1:57:59
evaporate yeah and that's not good and
1:58:06
the sick thing of geoengineering is when
1:58:08
you Geoengineer you're blocking out
1:58:10
sunlight well then your solar panels
1:58:12
also start to decrease in efficacy or
1:58:15
effectiveness so it's not done with the
1:58:19
book yet somewhere in the book I expect
1:58:21
them to tell me how I stop this evil
1:58:22
tech revolution and I can't wait to find
1:58:25
out what I have to do and who I have to
1:58:27
recruit for it and yes
1:58:31
well before we do I do have some funny
1:58:34
stuff well I was going to mention
1:58:36
something that would take us into it
1:58:39
just understanding how we how we operate
1:58:42
our business where we ask you how much
1:58:44
is this show worth to you is it valuable
1:58:46
that's our value for value model is very
1:58:48
simple you produce it you listen to it
1:58:51
you give us stuff did you like it was it
1:58:54
worth five bucks 50 bucks it were
1:58:57
equivalent of going out on the weekend
1:58:59
how much time did you spend and the
1:59:02
reason why is we need to be completely
1:59:04
independent for everything you can't
1:59:05
discuss these topics even why is Pig
1:59:08
Ebola not discussed is it just because
1:59:11
of bar
1:59:12
Euler bar Muller Trump iron man that is
1:59:14
that is that the only reason or there
1:59:16
are other issues at hand you don't know
1:59:18
you can't even ask him and we have
1:59:21
another one biting the dust a well it
1:59:24
never really was an independent media
1:59:26
outlets it was run by or really set up
1:59:30
and pre financed by former MTV guru let
1:59:34
Tom Freston who's great guy you know
1:59:37
comes from the Afghanistan import/export
1:59:40
business not kidding
1:59:42
so he said advise media and you know
1:59:46
we've always seen that this kind of an
1:59:47
advertising agency a lot of people put a
1:59:49
lot of stock into what vice media does
1:59:53
and they think they're very cool and he
1:59:55
reverent and great but they ran out of
1:59:58
money and they did a new debt financing
2:00:02
deal which was led by come on one of
2:00:09
those Soros yes in one go exactly two
2:00:15
hundred and fifty million dollars from a
2:00:18
consortium led by Soros Wow they've laid
2:00:23
off they've laid off 250 employees about
2:00:26
10% of their staff than just a few
2:00:28
months ago funny thing is that you bring
2:00:30
this up because I do have a Vice clip oh
2:00:33
okay now I this was something that
2:00:36
stemmed out of Twitter that's not funny
2:00:38
that's just how our beautiful magic
2:00:40
works sometimes so I so Carly in
2:00:43
Louisiana it sends me this clip okay cuz
2:00:47
I was doing it back and for something
2:00:48
with David Icke and there was this
2:00:50
special on David Icke that Vice had done
2:00:53
and it was just a slam him and I watched
2:00:58
and I said it sent a note to her I said
2:01:00
you noticed the whip saw and she said no
2:01:04
and she iced okay I said I'm gonna play
2:01:07
it on the show so this is the report
2:01:10
that this whole thing was a kind of an
2:01:12
anti hike documentary done by Vice and
2:01:15
it was done in a very snide way and it
2:01:18
goes into his history and then there's a
2:01:20
whipsaw right at the very beginning
2:01:21
which is just like
2:01:23
why you Dwight is the point of doing
2:01:26
this but okay let's go after arthritis
2:01:28
that ended a promising career in
2:01:30
football he'd become a broadcaster but
2:01:31
that all ended in one remarkable
2:01:33
appearance on the Terry Wogan show I'll
2:01:42
let it play again I just had to stop
2:01:44
that's their entire clip of him on Terry
2:01:47
on Terry Wogan show that's it
2:01:49
no they play along I don't know why they
2:01:53
did it that way that's great writers had
2:01:55
ended a promising career in football
2:01:56
he'd become a broadcaster but that all
2:01:59
ended in one remarkable appearance on
2:02:00
the Terry Wogan show in a turquoise
2:02:04
tracksuit he'd announced that he was the
2:02:06
son of God and the world would be ending
2:02:08
that here it didn't and Ike seemed
2:02:10
destined to disappear beneath the
2:02:11
typhoon of public laughter it's quite
2:02:14
funny really you know two thousand years
2:02:17
ago had a guy called Jesus sat here and
2:02:20
said these same things you would still
2:02:22
be laughing it's really really funny
2:02:23
that we've not really moved on that much
2:02:25
they're laughing at you they're not
2:02:27
laughing with you but Ike wouldn't
2:02:32
disappear you know I've seen that
2:02:33
interview that's a total
2:02:35
mischaracterization of the interview
2:02:37
that that he said the world would end in
2:02:40
a year and he compared the claims that
2:02:44
he said he's the son of God he doesn't
2:02:47
does that he doesn't he says if Jesus
2:02:49
was sitting here instead of me instead
2:02:52
of me not that I'm the son of God
2:02:54
yeah he would have gotten the same
2:02:56
response which it probably would be true
2:02:58
but especially if you watched the way
2:03:00
the Family Guy portrays Jesus and and
2:03:03
then he never says anything about the
2:03:06
world's gonna end this year and the clip
2:03:09
clearly and they play this clip and I'm
2:03:12
not getting it why is what is the point
2:03:17
well if mischaracterization is it was
2:03:19
outrageous to me if you're vying for 250
2:03:22
million from George Soros you know you
2:03:24
know do the same this is just another
2:03:26
version of deep platforming some crazy
2:03:29
right-wing Nazi quadroon
2:03:32
the terrorist nationalist supremacists
2:03:35
old guy it's the same it's all the same
2:03:40
everyone's following the money these
2:03:42
systems like every sister just like us
2:03:44
we're just here surviving we don't mean
2:03:47
we have our our network a network of
2:03:49
producers the people who participate in
2:03:52
our program and we're just out for
2:03:54
survival Vice is out for survival
2:03:56
Twitter Facebook the roll out for
2:03:58
survival and give a shout think Twitter
2:04:00
Facebook they don't give a crap about
2:04:03
anything but surviving because that's
2:04:05
what the organisms do that's what these
2:04:07
self-propagating that's what all
2:04:09
propagating systems do just survival and
2:04:12
we may even be seeking way too much
2:04:14
meaning behind it but in this case the
2:04:16
survival yeah virtue signal make
2:04:18
everyone with a different victim come on
2:04:20
man Soros is a fucking alien is reptile
2:04:23
at minimum so you got to discredit the
2:04:25
guy who's calling them out reptile yeah
2:04:31
they sure looks like one to know it
2:04:36
imagine all the people who could do is
2:04:38
awesome oh yeah
2:04:39

2:19:17
hey well I've got a little ditty here
2:19:20
that's good alright this is a
2:19:22
compilation somebody made from one
2:19:24
single speech of Joe Biden and just
2:19:28
little snippets from his speech and it's
2:19:31
a drunk no drunk thing Oh Oh like the
2:19:34
jingle if you wanted to play this but
2:19:36
it's pretty obvious to me the answer hmm
2:19:38
let me see we have the jingle for this I
2:19:44
want to thank rich Fitzgerald the county
2:19:48
executive of Allegheny County executor
2:19:50
being here all my time of public life
2:19:52
for this I've gotten involved the
2:19:54
country wasn't built by Wall Street
2:19:56
bankers CEOs and Hudson that's fun man
2:19:59
the enterprises hard times everybody
2:20:02
took a hit union workers the UAW took
2:20:05
incredible cuts in their future the
2:20:09
pensions of the left to get GM working
2:20:11
they also got that too last year and try
2:20:14
to cut wages or freeze wages for the
2:20:16
people right today the same is happening
2:20:18
in big hustles and big hospital systems
2:20:20
I haven't got to rethink how we define
2:20:23
what constitutes a successful economy
2:20:26
folks in America don't think your
2:20:27
children have the same standard living
2:20:29
they had how can a person dignity
2:20:32
maintain why they do that it means
2:20:36
investing much more in medical research
2:20:37
to comfort the conquered Everest a
2:20:40
disease like cancer and addictions of
2:20:42
Alzheimer's so god bless you all and may
2:20:44
God protect our troops
2:20:48
[Applause]
2:20:52
if you think that's drunk or is just old
2:20:54
slurry man it does not junk
2:20:57
mmm he's not that slurry normally yeah
2:21:00
you know he goes to these things he's
2:21:01
out of town
2:21:02
yeah he's one of those guys at take
2:21:05
let's go out to lunch yeah you want a
2:21:06
little wine Joe yeah I think he's
2:21:09
hammered huh
2:21:11
well maybe he's not if he's not hammered
2:21:13
then he's really shot I was rather
2:21:14
tickled about that China comment he made
2:21:17
that we played on the last show
2:21:18
yeah I saw the drunk there too well the
2:21:21
reason why I was tickled by it is he
2:21:26
said uh oh come on guys you have to
2:21:27
worry about China
2:21:28
yeah forgetting that he and his sons or
2:21:32
that his son set up a huge hedge fund
2:21:34
with a billion dollars of Chinese money
2:21:38
a week after he and his son returned
2:21:41
from a trip to China
2:21:43
yeah needs to be noted well thank you
2:21:47
that's the only thing it needs to be
2:21:49
noted wouldn't nobody know it's
2:21:51
something that needs to be noted they
2:21:54
don't note it now I did I thought I had
2:21:57
an ISO from this which I listened to
2:22:00
later cuz I thought it would be nice at
2:22:01
the end of the show cuz of the one that
2:22:02
that kind of reflected the show but then
2:22:05
I listened to this it was terrible you
2:22:07
play it why they do that then I decided
2:22:12
to just take an ISO from a clip I can't
2:22:15
play on the show and I want people to
2:22:17
just go look this up and the and you
2:22:19
would search for it and on YouTube under
2:22:22
dead raccoon in McDonald's
2:22:25
why can't we play that it is nothing but
2:22:29
cussing oh okay so I could but I took it
2:22:33
it's all just cussing mm-hmm but it's
2:22:36
hilarious because of this dead raccoon
2:22:38
now you should look it up too but
2:22:43
somebody did pull one thing out of it
2:22:45
which might be a nice ISO which is only
2:22:47
in San Francisco that's good that's a
2:22:53
beautiful eye stuff done end of show
2:22:55
perfect nice yes he's talking about the
2:22:59
dead raccoon only in San Francisco I
2:23:01
can't wait for this it's gonna give me
2:23:04
his
2:23:04
give us a summary of what happened yeah
2:23:06
you're holding out some white guy and it
2:23:09
also changes the the usage of the n-word
2:23:11
to refer to white bums some white
2:23:17
homeless guy brought a dead raccoon that
2:23:19
was stiff and it had rigor mortis and
2:23:21
puts it on the table and a McDonald's
2:23:23
and so this guy starts filming it and
2:23:26
it's like the guy the white guys like I
2:23:29
don't know what his problem is but this
2:23:30
guy just starts raving about this idiot
2:23:33
bringing this group just rabid raccoon
2:23:36
into the into the McDonald's place and
2:23:38
then yelling at the McDonald's employees
2:23:40
it's just a very it's a classic YouTube
2:23:44
video okay dead raccoon and McDonald's
2:23:47
oh I'm riveted now I can't wait but I
2:23:50
almost want to end the show early just
2:23:51
so I can get to it now I have one other
2:23:54
medley of stuff but this is this is from
2:23:57
the free beacon and this is Maxine
2:23:59
Waters that they stitched together all
2:24:03
her rants about impeachment and the
2:24:05
mower and all the rest of it and I
2:24:07
thought it was worth playing here you
2:24:09
have a president who I can tell you in
2:24:12
guarantee you is in collusion with the
2:24:14
ruts I say that he was in collusion with
2:24:16
Putin I believe that there really has
2:24:18
been collusion I say that he was
2:24:20
inclusion with the Kremlin I am so
2:24:22
depending on our special counsel Robert
2:24:25
Weller to connect the dots to connect
2:24:28
those dots connect the dots dot dot dot
2:24:31
dot dot starts the dots are connected
2:24:34
the dots are getting closer if there was
2:24:37
collusion we'll get the collusion have
2:24:39
my hope so Moeller as most people do I
2:24:41
think it's going to be proven that if
2:24:43
Muller does his job the lead that was
2:24:45
collusion and collusion will lead to
2:24:47
impeachment this got a lead right to
2:24:49
impeachment and he ought to be impeached
2:24:51
so I believe it is possible to impeach
2:24:54
him but we need to impeach him how long
2:24:56
is it going to take I don't know but I
2:24:59
give it to about December we've got to
2:25:01
get the facts we've got to do the
2:25:03
investigation that is what leads to
2:25:05
impeachment I think it will lead to the
2:25:07
impeachment of this president we've got
2:25:09
it
2:25:12
she does good stuff doesn't she now that
2:25:16
she's got her Ava's but she shouldn't be
2:25:18
given any airtime she's insane I want to
2:25:21
do the economic stuff at the very end
2:25:23
here
2:25:23
we've got a few minutes well I do have
2:25:26
my breakfast except that I keep
2:25:28
promising and I want to play it so we
2:25:30
can be thinking about it for the next
2:25:31
show okay let's do that now
2:25:33
you wanna do it now yeah okay this I
2:25:35
found a new strategy that I believe is
2:25:40
being used or is going to be used
2:25:43
they're gonna try to use it and it was
2:25:45
and they tested it they test marketed it
2:25:48
at TVNZ out of New Zealand on the Haley
2:25:52
holt breakfast show and I think if you
2:25:54
Bri between the lines you can see what
2:25:56
they're gonna try to do and this would
2:25:57
be in it this would be the methodology
2:25:59
you'd use to get a redo okay so again
2:26:02
this is about brexit this is where we've
2:26:04
been waiting for the typical European
2:26:06
Union scenario where they say you voted
2:26:09
wrong let's vote again and we've been
2:26:12
waiting for that for years now and this
2:26:15
may be the strategy to make it happen
2:26:16
British democracy has been a shaken by
2:26:20
revelations of cheating by the vote
2:26:21
leave campaign during the BRICS that
2:26:23
referendum they've been found guilty of
2:26:25
breaking electoral law with two people
2:26:27
now being referred to the police so what
2:26:29
does this all mean for the future of
2:26:31
BRICS it to explain we have professor
2:26:33
Robert PETMAN from otago University good
2:26:36
morning good morning in May leave EU
2:26:40
which was one of the major campaigning
2:26:41
groups for brexit was fine for
2:26:44
overspending and now vote leave which
2:26:47
was fronted by Michael Gove who's a
2:26:48
cabinet minister and Boris Johnson until
2:26:50
recently
2:26:51
foreign secretary that has just been
2:26:54
fined this week more than 60,000 and
2:26:57
also matters have been referred to the
2:27:00
police for further investigation this is
2:27:01
actually very serious because vote leave
2:27:04
which goes right to the cabinet and
2:27:06
including the prime one of the prime
2:27:08
minister's advisers is linked to that
2:27:09
group they have committed probably the
2:27:13
biggest overspend the biggest electoral
2:27:16
irregularities since the 19th century
2:27:18
I mean we have to remember that this
2:27:20
very contentious referendum in Britain
2:27:22
wishes
2:27:23
pushed Britain towards brexit was
2:27:26
decided by wafer-thin majority of 3.7%
2:27:30
but one side overspent by 10% so this
2:27:34
has big implications these are actually
2:27:37
criminal offences yes so you think that
2:27:39
we need a public enquiry here or will
2:27:41
there be one at the moment you see Mrs
2:27:44
May owes her position to the outcome of
2:27:47
the referendum so she doesn't actually
2:27:50
relish or want to open up any a systemic
2:27:54
police inquiry into what's happened okay
2:27:57
so what are the rules in this well this
2:28:01
horrible overspend of a massive ten
2:28:04
percent which I guess is the biggest
2:28:06
scandal in the history of the UK
2:28:08
apparently I think the idea is of course
2:28:12
is to say well they did they violated
2:28:14
the rules of engagement we enter the
2:28:16
election again right do-over I told a
2:28:21
real do-over because of election
2:28:26
irregularities that's the word we're
2:28:28
looking for very good I like that and
2:28:31
their test marketing this idea in New
2:28:33
Zealand and of course this Haley woman
2:28:36
is like all in and oh the two of them
2:28:38
are you know there's a professor at one
2:28:40
of the local universities and they're
2:28:41
all about oh they're all a tizzy oh jeez
2:28:44
I don't know this is terrible that said
2:28:45
we're scandal scandal and it's just this
2:28:51
is I think we're gonna see this rolled
2:28:53
out so I wanted to get into it yeah
2:28:55
you're right and they got to do
2:28:56
something pretty soon because we're
2:28:58
we're coming up on d-day what is it what
2:29:02
why what's the few now I think they've
2:29:03
moved it out I thought they had a final
2:29:05
final something they could well the
2:29:07
final final final final but then they
2:29:10
got the final final final final final so
2:29:12
the problem is they've got the European
2:29:14
Union parliamentary elections and you
2:29:17
know the brexit party apparently is
2:29:20
whatever polls are worth is polling very
2:29:22
high in so yeah I thought they would
2:29:26
want to get a agent hope the Liberal
2:29:29
Democrats are the ones that seem to be
2:29:31
making hay from this whole thing and
2:29:33
they're gonna I think move into a
2:29:34
position of power I
2:29:36
do have a clip of this of the European
2:29:40
Parliament where instead of listening to
2:29:42
Nigel Faraj go off on ma'am this is a
2:29:46
very isn't this a very old clip you sure
2:29:51
are you sure this isn't old it could be
2:29:54
so we won't play it well let me say let
2:29:57
me check thank you very much for the
2:29:58
publicity mr. president
2:30:02
but mr. faroush has the whole morning
2:30:04
talked about salaries and and biggest
2:30:07
waste waste of money well you know
2:30:10
colleagues what I think is the biggest
2:30:12
waste of money in European Union of
2:30:15
today there's a salary we are paying to
2:30:18
mr. Paris that is the biggest waste of
2:30:20
money
2:30:21
oh no mr. Faraj let's be honest about it
2:30:25
you are you are a member of the fishery
2:30:29
committee for example and you're never
2:30:31
there never in 2011 no attendance in
2:30:36
2012 no attendance it's fantastic what
2:30:40
you're doing you're coming here saying
2:30:43
it's a scandal the salaries that don't
2:30:45
be paid and you pay yourself a salary
2:30:48
without doing any labor in your own
2:30:50
committee that's the reality of your
2:30:52
opinion today
2:30:55
[Applause]
2:31:00
what's that
2:31:01
what's that no nothing going I hope that
2:31:04
maybe this can be sent out on the BBC
2:31:06
this evening once and on all the other
2:31:09
private television in in Britain how you
2:31:14
in fact cheating your own citizens here
2:31:17
all the time already three years in a
2:31:21
row and I think it has to finish because
2:31:23
we know that mr. Elena Mizzou has rights
2:31:26
this Union if it want to become a real
2:31:29
federal union need resources needs in
2:31:33
fact his own income and that is the big
2:31:36
battle to do now and we shall do it
2:31:39
together and if it says here without you
2:31:42
mister Faraj good grandstanding it's
2:31:45
about time someone did that well I'm
2:31:47
glad they did I thought it was good for
2:31:49
us to run it because it's it balances
2:31:51
the what people perceive is us being pro
2:31:54
Faraj I don't give a shit what people
2:31:56
perceive of us I'm just saying it's nice
2:31:59
to have the other side yelling at him
2:32:01
yes pandering and but the real kicker in
2:32:04
that thing of course was not him yelling
2:32:06
at him it was him announcing that we
2:32:08
need our own income taxes for well from
2:32:14
steam amounts is apparently high on the
2:32:16
list to be the winner of the year of the
2:32:19
election this is a guy I know I've
2:32:20
interviewed him I've met him a couple
2:32:22
times or run into him at the airport
2:32:24
he's a nice guy he can invite the both
2:32:27
of us to one of the big meetings they
2:32:29
got there and there may be a dinner well
2:32:30
I'm gonna try you should and I
2:32:34
definitely would like to interview him
2:32:35
did he do mer this is the guy who I
2:32:37
interviewed on the radio station that
2:32:39
eventually got burned to the ground
2:32:41
yes right and and he and he was there
2:32:44
and he was he had just been to
2:32:45
Bilderberg with the Dutch Queen because
2:32:47
he was the secretary the Foreign
2:32:50
Secretary not the Secretary of State but
2:32:52
foreign so the undersecretary or
2:32:54
something and then he said no you know
2:32:57
what you're doing here man that's pretty
2:32:58
good you got to keep that going keep the
2:33:00
alternative sound it's a now surrounding
2:33:02
has the Fuhrer of the European Union so
2:33:05
I'm gonna try into with him
2:33:08
reasonable guy for sure Wilson um I'm
2:33:12
gonna finish it or he's gonna say boo
2:33:14
now he remembers he remembers thanks
2:33:18
John thanks for being all positive about
2:33:20
that I'm trying to do something to show
2:33:21
ya is my negative attitudes gonna kill
2:33:23
the interview anyway you'll get him but
2:33:27
he won't do it actually the public
2:33:28
relations woman won't let it happen
2:33:31
yeah but if you go through Twitter you
2:33:32
get stuff done you start tweeting and
2:33:35
then he gets interested okay so good
2:33:39
MailChimp the president the president is
2:33:41
trying to find a new member for the for
2:33:45
the Fed board the Federal Reserve Board
2:33:48
and Herman Cain pulled out because even
2:33:56
though he'd been on the Fed board before
2:33:57
and they you know threatened him with
2:33:59
some true or not doesn't matter some
2:34:03
improprieties and that piece even more
2:34:06
pieces even more had made a lot of
2:34:09
stupid jokes and and so he says he
2:34:13
pulled back but listening to this report
2:34:16
I questioned if it was really his
2:34:19
decision more had said some pretty
2:34:22
unsavory things about women in the past
2:34:24
he follows the pizza executive Herman
2:34:26
Cain who would through his name not too
2:34:28
long ago what what tipped the scales
2:34:29
here against more yeah you had a bunch
2:34:31
of Senate Republicans outspoken of their
2:34:34
fact that they were gonna be dis not
2:34:35
comfortable with kind of rubber stamping
2:34:38
this guy's nomination even though he was
2:34:39
out there telling the world that it was
2:34:41
gonna fly through the Senate but maybe
2:34:42
his most fatal flaw was coming out I
2:34:45
think in a Bloomberg interview and
2:34:46
disagreeing with this president's idea
2:34:48
that the federal reserve should cut
2:34:50
rates right now in this economic
2:34:52
expansion maybe that was the death knell
2:34:54
for him and I think that that is the
2:34:56
reason I think Trump said you have the
2:34:58
wrong idea I want the Federal Reserve to
2:35:00
cut the interest rate in fact from what
2:35:03
I understand Trump is talking about up
2:35:05
to a percent which is pretty big and lo
2:35:09
and behold what showed up on my radar
2:35:11
this morning is John Williams and John
2:35:15
Williams we were introduced to John
2:35:17
Williams thanks to you John C Dvorak
2:35:19
John Williams is the guy behind shadow
2:35:21
stats
2:35:21
and we had some very interesting numbers
2:35:24
come out we had a blow-out GDP we had
2:35:28
the even lower unemployment even though
2:35:30
the number one shadow stats number we've
2:35:33
always looked at is the u6 and the the
2:35:36
real unemployment versus people who've
2:35:39
just fallen off the escalator and are
2:35:41
sleeping under i-35 cuz you just don't
2:35:44
count as looking for a job so the edge
2:35:46
and you Williams believes that they
2:35:48
should be counted he's certain and I
2:35:50
think so too yeah they're unemployed
2:35:52
yeah they're unemployed and they should
2:35:56
be work able but he agrees with Trump on
2:36:01
the interest rate cut and for good
2:36:04
reason remember all these fancy numbers
2:36:07
were doing great everything's fantastic
2:36:08
butlers and a great deal of variance in
2:36:11
terms of the quality of the numbers and
2:36:13
you also have different people with
2:36:15
different political perspectives that
2:36:18
want to see it go one way or the other I
2:36:20
can tell you that the I mean one of the
2:36:22
great examples are right now is the
2:36:25
headline first quarter GDP that was just
2:36:28
recently recently reported came in at
2:36:31
three point two percent expectations had
2:36:34
been all over the place but maybe in the
2:36:37
middle was two and a half percent I
2:36:38
thought it was going to come in well
2:36:40
below consensus below 1% eventually
2:36:43
revised to a contraction came in well
2:36:45
above well then anyone was forecasting
2:36:48
that I could see and so I was wrong on
2:36:51
that but as I looked at the components a
2:36:54
lot of the components there showed
2:36:56
exactly what I was looking for though we
2:36:58
have a recession in place it's just a
2:37:00
matter of its of its of its playing out
2:37:02
and some of these other funny numbers
2:37:04
and getting and getting work out the
2:37:07
reality is on the downside where you
2:37:10
have mixed pressures right now the
2:37:12
people are really concerned about the
2:37:14
economy and that includes President
2:37:16
Trump particularly looking at reelection
2:37:20
but he's been pushing on the economy for
2:37:23
a long time and he's been arguing the
2:37:27
Fed should lower rates and with him
2:37:29
the Fed created the circumstance they're
2:37:31
pushing for the economy on the upside
2:37:33
because they want to continue raising
2:37:34
rates banks make more running money
2:37:37
there and they're still trying to
2:37:38
liquidate the problems that they created
2:37:41
by the bank bailout back in banking
2:37:44
system bailout back in 2008
2:37:46
it's an extraordinary time I can't
2:37:48
remember anything quite like this
2:37:51
ultimately I'm looking at our going into
2:37:55
a new recession by that by the end of
2:37:58
this year I see the Fed being forced
2:38:00
into renewed easing perhaps quantitative
2:38:03
easing yeah I'm not an economist but I
2:38:07
have the feeling too I don't not buying
2:38:09
these numbers everything's so great I'm
2:38:11
just not seeing it and on the GDP and
2:38:14
this it's in the show notes there's a
2:38:15
pretty good interview he explains the
2:38:17
the GDP or the the trade the trade
2:38:20
balance changes and that affects GDP and
2:38:23
the reason the trade balance changed is
2:38:25
not because we start exporting a lot
2:38:28
more in fact quite the opposite because
2:38:30
of the way he says it the rate increases
2:38:33
by the federal reserve that we saw in
2:38:35
the past year and a half have actually
2:38:37
stopped spending so we're just buying
2:38:40
mint or crud list crap from from China
2:38:43
and other countries and that's why the
2:38:45
GDP number is up because of the trade
2:38:47
balance but not because we're doing so
2:38:49
great well he this kind of explains the
2:38:55
apparently Trump has been suggesting a
2:38:58
quantitative easing QE I don't know what
2:39:01
number he weaned by now by now yeah in
2:39:05
right in the face of the of the GDP
2:39:09
being 3.2 which also surprised Horowitz
2:39:11
quite a bit because he had this rather
2:39:14
elaborate theory as to why it was so
2:39:17
good in the fourth quarter
2:39:18
mm-hm and and he expected a drop-off and
2:39:21
I think Williams must have expected
2:39:24
something lower too so they're but
2:39:27
they've been futzing with the numbers
2:39:29
and it started with Obama I mean if you
2:39:32
look at Williams's charts for
2:39:33
unemployment and inflation especially
2:39:36
unemployment you look at where they were
2:39:38
the three lines because there's there's
2:39:40
the u6 music
2:39:42
use for yeah well some more therefore
2:39:45
but but there's a shadow stats number
2:39:48
and they're they're pretty much clumped
2:39:50
together and they follow up a certain
2:39:51
pattern and they're all lined up in
2:39:53
parallel and then all of a sudden it
2:39:55
diverges right when Obama gets in office
2:39:58
and it just goes completely because they
2:40:00
start to lie about the numbers mm-hmm
2:40:02
and I think they're still doing it the
2:40:09
numbers and now it now is doing it too
2:40:11
yeah well he's yes he's taking credit
2:40:14
not maybe he wants to stop it well what
2:40:17
he well what I see him saying is look at
2:40:20
how great the numbers aren't guys lo
2:40:22
stop to stop we're gonna die here we're
2:40:24
gonna die he knows I mean he I think he
2:40:27
actually understands this very well this
2:40:29
macro stuff and he understands the
2:40:32
payment seemed he certainly understands
2:40:33
interest rates so I'm in agreement I
2:40:39
think it I think we're on the on the
2:40:41
cusp but just feel a dive note no
2:40:44
academic backup for this other than I
2:40:48
can just see it I see the stores closing
2:40:50
lots of stores closing in downtown
2:40:53
Austin
2:40:53
lots of pop-up stores here we are for
2:40:56
two for two weeks and all the the little
2:40:59
boutiques all going out of business
2:41:00
can't afford the rents which is a direct
2:41:03
result of the interest to going up up
2:41:05
correct you would have a lot to do with
2:41:08
it people jacking up the rents and it
2:41:11
just but here is hard to see except for
2:41:14
the homeless situation and the poop on
2:41:17
the street and all the rest of it yeah
2:41:18
it looks as though there's like if
2:41:20
somebody's fooling themselves we got the
2:41:22
traffic problems of a boom yeah we have
2:41:24
huge traffic problems because of the
2:41:26
boom so the traffic is all jacked up
2:41:28
there's jobs to be had because of the
2:41:31
boom but it but parallel to the boom
2:41:34
there's this mess and it's even here
2:41:37
where there shouldn't be the mess at all
2:41:39
considering we shouldn't have the city
2:41:43
of San Francisco crawling with homeless
2:41:45
tents encampments all over the place
2:41:48
poop on the street everybody drugged up
2:41:51
it just shouldn't be there it shouldn't
2:41:53
be paralleling the boom in its and it is
2:41:55
and it's a
2:41:56
bad sign as far as I'm concerned
2:41:57
Alicia's its kind of I agree it's just
2:42:01
not good I agree we have the same enough
2:42:03
out it they can't afford to the potholes
2:42:05
are a problem what's why can you if
2:42:08
everything's booming or once you fix the
2:42:10
damn potholes yes on that very happy
2:42:14
note of we're all going to die we're
2:42:17
going to leave you we know you'll want
2:42:19

2:45:48
on and it's gonna go away if you'd if
2:45:50
you trust it to Instagram here's a crazy
2:45:53
idea here's a crazy crazy thought that
2:45:55
I've advocated for many times print some
2:45:58
out well you just said I think is a
2:46:01
great idea I've been saving photos all
2:46:04
my life and I know that at least one or
2:46:06
two of my drives will never fire up
2:46:08
again just take a couple make a
2:46:10
selection
2:46:11
you could put you know two or three
2:46:13
quote-unquote rolls about the same you'd
2:46:20
have to pay for supplies to do it
2:46:22
yourself but fairly inexpensively new
2:46:24
and you will have these backups and they
2:46:26
actually the gear that they're the big
2:46:28
print guys have it's a little better
2:46:30
than what you generally have incredibly
2:46:32
sad that they're storing this on
2:46:33
Instagram and that can go away you know
2:46:36
that can get deleted you can get kicked
2:46:38
off if anything can happen and just
2:46:40
imagine it's going to the entire
2:46:42
generation of children who get old and
2:46:45
die in this dumpy nothing left
